Selling some suspension takeoff items and one new-in-box item from all of my experimenting with the rear suspension.

The Dobinsons IMS shocks and OME 2866 springs went on in November of 2022 at ~17,000 miles. My current milage is 24,463 so they have around 7.5k miles on them. Not a lot. The Icon shocks never left the box. They were included in my Icon kit when I ordered but I opted to go straight to the Dobinsons shocks.

Pics of each item below. Questions? Ask and I'm happy to answer.

Let me answer a couple of the most common questions from the beginning:
    1. Will I ship? - Only if you have a UPS account number and are willing to pay shipping and packaging. These are long/heavy/awkward items and I suspect shipping will be expensive. Otherwise, I'm happy to meet you in the Vegas or Pahrump areas for local pickup.
    2. Why did I change parts? / Is there anything wrong with them? - You can check out my build thread for more info about my truck. I'm constantly tweaking and changing things to get my truck dialed in for my specific needs. As I build out my truck with more gear, I'm tweaking the suspension to match the increased weight, etc. There's nothing wrong with any of these items. I wouldn't be selling them if there was. I would be 100% comfortable selling these to my best friend, if he didn't drive a Jeep. haha.

haha. No kidding. I've been trying to convince my wife to take a road trip up to Tahoe in the winter. She's a tough one to convince though.

This needs to be shared. Perfect example of how to list items for sale. Answers all questions ahead of time, clearly explains what's for sale, include photos, and describes the items perfectly.

My company has an account with UPS that receives a huge discount on shipping. Typically they won't allow us to use it for personal items, but I've reached out to my boss to ask if I could somehow use that account and pay the company back. Fingers crossed. Our discount is over 50% off typical shipping rates due to the massive amount of shipments and guaranteed amounts we contract for.

What’s the difference between IMS59-60687 and 60685 (long travel), 60887 (comfort valving, extended travel), 60885 (comfort valving, long travel). I understand the adjective difference but not the practical difference. For reference, my setup currently has a topper and decked drawers (~400lbs constant), occasional towing of trailer with 500 lb tongue weight max, and gear for trips 200 ish lbs maybe more. Comfort valving sounds nice, I'm just not sure what that entails.

Sorry for the tech questions on a for sale post but I’m trying to determine if the Dobinson shocks will fit my lift plan. I will likely go with C59-843V (50mm-2") 220-440lb Load or C59-845V (50mm-2") 550-770lb Load coils.

If they are still for sale, I can pick up. I’m local in Vegas.

I was about to bump this thread when I saw your reply. Apologies for missing it. Not sure how I missed the notification.

If you're still interested, I can venture a guess to your question (though asking Dobinsons would best...they're very responsive): Generally speaking, off road tuned shocks will have less damping for low-speed compression & rebound and aggressive high-speed damping in rebound and compression. The intention of the tuning difference is to keep the tires in contact at low speeds and keep it from bottoming out at higher speeds.

To be completely honest, I've never noticed much of a tuning difference on the road but that's me. Off road...yes. But, on road? No. Unless you have terrible roads, 99% of the time your shocks are just moving in a very narrow range while cruising at 70 on the highway, which is why I've never noticed much of a tuning difference on road. I've had adjustable shocks in the past and currently have the adjustable Dobinsons MRA59-A687 in the rear. I just leave them adjusted for best off-road use and rarely, (if ever) touch them again.

They're still available if you want them. This is the only place I've listed them to date, so I haven't put a lot of effort into selling them. But, now that we're approaching the New Year, I'm starting to think about pulling the trigger on upgrading the front suspension (again) so I'm going to list these in a few other places. I'd like to get these parts off my hand in the next month or so since I'm looking at $2,000 bill with Accutune Offroad for my planned upgrades. haha

Let me know if you're still thinking about it. If you're not interested anymore, no worries. I'll list them on OfferUp and a few other places to see if I can move them, in that case.

Bump. Make me an offer. I don’t have the 3rd Gen any longer so this is taking up valuable space.

Sorry I missed this reply, none of the alerts I had set are notifying me anymore, so I've been doing some heavy reading today. I think I am going to go with the adjustable MRR over IMS. It will be nice to mess around when I tow vs when I speed over wash boards. I figure buy once cry once too.

Very interested in the Dobinson IMS shocks - These are the exact pair that I am looking for. Would need to look into shipping though to my residential address (no account number)
