Became owner of 2006 DC Tundra SR5 4x4 (205k mi.) earlier this year and one of the recent upgrades I did was the dirtydeeds 12-hole fuel injectors. Prior to doing so, truck ran great with no issues but thought it would be a good idea to upgrade to have it running even better lol. Afterwards, I have been having issues with rough starts, rough idle, and misfire codes (P0300/301/303) along the driver's side of the engine. When I installed, I disconnected battery, and afterwards I have cleaned MAF/throttle body, added seafoam to fuel multiple times, checked banjo bolt on drivers side (think its aligned, hole should be in line with the fuel line right?) but have not had luck on resolving the issue. The issue is only felt during idle/starting, while driving the truck feels fine and codes don't register until I idle too long. After cleaning MAF/throttle body, I think it felt better for about a day but that was short lived. Looked at this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/injector-problem.108656/#post-2801562

Before moving to replacing other parts or switching injectors around, wanted to ask what are some installation mistakes that may have caused this I can check? I performed work myself so think maybe error on my end might be causing this. I would find it odd that something else went bad just as soon as I replaced the injectors. Starting to regret having messed with it when it was running great.

    +1 on that ^^

But the fact you're saying it's only on driver's side/bank 1 is suspicious also.

Sadly, I still have yet to see any tangible proof the DD injectors actually provide a performance increase, and until I see legit dyno results, I'm standing by my assertions that the ugprade is a gimmick, and any miniscule gain seen is because "new injectors". Unfortunately, you're not the 1st guy who's posted on here having issues after this swap. Not because of DD's product necessarily, just so happens someone did the work and had issues after.

I typically don't toss old parts until a year or two after swaps are done if they're still functional (I like having backups), so I'll ask: Do you still have your old injectors?

If you do, check all of them to ensure you didn't leave an o-ring or something behind. Are they fully intact?

I hate to even ask it, but after confirming all 8 are fully intact, have you considered swapping the old injectors back in on the driver side, just to verify if the condition goes away? This is a sure-fire way to confirm the injectors aren't the issue.

If you need to confirm whether you did things right, you know there's links to the FSM in the 4th or 5th paragraph of the 1st reply here, right? Always good to reference before you dive in. Sadly, some of the people putting out videos for our trucks like to cut corners and don't always do stuff right.

Appreciate the responses, didn't check vacuum hoses so I'll take a look at that. I did keep the old parts just in case and made sure the o-rings didn't stay behind during install. I was thinking of swapping the new injectors around but good idea to try the old ones just to confirm whether or not the injectors are the issue here. Prior to taking on that job again, just wanted to see if there might have been something I missed or look out for during the install, mainly followed these diagrams for the job:https://www.tundras.com/threads/can...ving-the-manifold-4-7l-v8.84366/#post-2130054 ; I will admit though, I'm one to cut corners at times...I'll take a look through the FSM before redoing this again, thanks!
