06 double cab with 68k miles asking 17,500. It looks really clean, it looks like it had the toyota undercoating treatment so hard to say what the condition was before. I would guess really good by the look of the other undercarriage components that were original. Took a few times for the 4x4 to stay engaged not sure if thats normal or not?

Also no timing belt record or sticker, and a little shimmy/shake over 40mph, maybe tires/brakes

Wow that's really nice especially if you value and like the mods. I'm not really sure how much they add or the cost of them though. I just looked through old bring a trailer prices for clean 1st gens and if that was stock probably sell for around 18-20k today. Probably 25k a year ago. I thought I wanted a real nice one too just having a hard time spending 20k on a 20 year old truck at this point.

This was a few months ago I'd doubt it would go that high now

I sent this one over to @BubbaW yesterday or day before, the last couple of days has been a blur.

I think it's a pretty fair deal, but I'd want to see inside the valve covers. These engines don't do well with short trip driving.

This guy told me he'd be willing to let this truck go in the $2000s and is planning to re-list it now. I told him I'll give him $2,500 if he'll just take an hour or two to get the title.

Will see what he says. But ... if anyone is cool with a bill of sale in a highly optioned, rust-free, under 200k mile, access cab, V8/4WD, that needs a new rear end ... I can get you in touch with him, bounce me your info to send him.

    Pics are back here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-for-sale-finds-on-other-sites.40093/page-24#post-3378128

I'm going to say yes & I'll tell you why.

I think it's a slightly rough truck tarted up.
That back axle really looks to me like it's been sprayed with black wool wax or similar & had it rubbed in. Maybe just black paint. The surface is too rough for how healthy black it is. I think it's been cleaned up to hide condition.
I notice a little rust on the sliders where the top plate is welded closest to the truck. There's a slight line of rust along the whole length. Also notice where the sliders are welded to the frame, it's all painted black - kinda like the rear axle & end of drive shaft.
That front cross member, under the Cat's, esp on the right side looks rough, like it used to be rusty, got wire brushed & painted.
The rusty bolt over the tire.
The white on the engine. One of the pic's there's a glimpse of motor & you see all those white spots a motor gets when it lives near the ocean.
I'll bet there are rusty fasteners in the engine bay.

Don't get me wrong - it looks nice. But $25k is for a truck that was always nice. This truck is low miles (or so it says, easy to change an odometer), but it wasn't always so nice, it's been cleaned up. It has some toys (front bumper, sliders) added to distract the buyer. They are nice, but you have to wonder if they replaced the front bumper because it needed replacing. Are the frame horns still straight?

And that truck could have had side air curtains but does not. At $25k I want that bag of air between me & a tractor trailers radiator.

and used prices are falling. If you are close, I would see it. Crawl under it. See if what I think I see is truth. If I'm right, I'd tell them it's not what I'm looking for, tell them if they ever get down to (name your value - maybe $15k, $17k?) to give you a call. Give them your number & walk. I've had that work on two vehicles that were overpriced. Also lost two that way. Life is too short to overpay for a shot of dopamine.

edit - picture of the shock - brake line hardware is rusty. Above the bump stop has surface rust but it's black. They've definitely been spraying black paint down under.
Hard to tell, but front right fender & 1/2 the A-pillar seem off a shade.
Reflection on drivers front fender has a wave. Can't tell if the paint is flat or just very dirty. I suspect the front bumper had to be changed.
Finally, the infill piece under drivers headlight appears to be too narrow, doesn't seem to 'reach' the grill surround. Probably from an access cab. Lost in the front end accident?
    Okay, I'll shut up now.

Listing says it’s sold, did you end up buying it? Parts of the frame look suspect, looks like someone painted over existing rust in some places. However if the frame is solid and you were planning on building the truck the mods were nicely done and add quite a bit of value. The topper itself is also a nice bonus. Clean gen 1’s are only going to get harder to find as we move forward. GLWYS. They are excellent trucks.

Fully loaded V8/4WD fully loaded up, with 122k in GA, with a cap, that has the ever-desirable windoors on it.... but salvage/rebuild title due to some prior rear-end damage. Doubt it'll last long, but ... who knows ...

Selling at a premium here, but it appears to be a preium-condition, nicely optioned, low mile DC that's southern-only, V8/4WD, in apparently immaculate wreck-free shape, without the obnoxious OEM fender flares, and timing belt done ~6yrs/50k miles ago .... this could be a good deal for one of you northern folks. Truck is originally from TX and is currently in NC.

This could be a good buy for someone, v8 4WD, DC, rust free Carolinas truck. Pay close attention to thedriver's side door/quarter panel seam, looks like maybe an impact and door skin may be folded, potentially easy/cheap fix but otherwise, rust free, TB/WP done recently (supposedly), under $10k and it looks well taken care of under the hood.
