As long as you're aware what your setup is and should be reading it doesn't matter imo. As to why "we" do it, well the instructions say to install it there :D and it's where the stock sensor is too so you can double check the stock sensor and vice versa.

    Great Question!

Let's take a look at this very thing with some actual data. All collected at the same time.

2G Tacoma, all stock other than a ProCharger kit as our test subject. Stock exhaust, stock ypipe w/ 2nd cats, and stock manifolds with primary's. Let's look at what the factory O2's read (before all 4 cats) what the wideband read (it was installed by ProCharger after the merge in the ypipe so after all 4 cats). and we'll look at what the tail pipe sniffer said.

    Stock ProCharger tune:
    StockProCharger.png
    StockProChargerdyno.png

    How's that for "lean"..... :)

To a work in progress configuration with a bit richer mixtures..

    WIPProCharger.png
    WIPProChargerdyno.png

There you have it. I'll let you guys digest on that for a bit. :)

3 hours just to weld a bung or install the wideband setup? I installed my wideband and it was fairly annoying running the wiring but took around 3 hours. I had a local shop weld the bung for $150

570 bucks for gauge install basically to set it up and wire it in I had already mounted it in the ac vent and ran the wires to the driver's side fuse pannel. National Speed was to pull cat pipe and weld in bung, wire up the gauge and I told them passenger side before primary cat...again NO COMMUNICATION OR JUST DONT CARE...didn't mean to yell

You are justifiably emoting frustration. For the money they ask for they certainly didn't treat you well nor do the job correctly.

Shame on them. Reputations are hard to rebuild.

At this point I think that ANYONE looking to have National Speed do work for them should be aware of my situation. We are adults and can make our own choices, I am not going to rant and rave and call out anyone personally all I will do is relate MY experience with them, what has and may happen in the future as I use my truck.
We have a trip planned Nov 1st and I will be towing the camper so that will be interesting to see how it towes with the Supercharger. I do worry about the installation since we all have seen how many things that have gone wrong with my installation, just hope it doesn't leave us stranded on the side of the road.
As far as the afr gauge and sensor location I'm attempting to resolve that before our trip. Thanks to ALL the forum members that have commented, offered information and advice.....to be continued

Just curious, how many HP did you gain after 12K? I am kind of new to this so excuse my ignorance please.

On a 5.7 I assume, so about 100HP gain from stock, give or take. Man that's a stiff price to pay. No turbo options on these engines? I have a V12 5.7 with dual turbo but that's a BMW. Just curious.

I have read that someone is developing a turbo option don't know if it's in production just yet.

It’s more like 200+ hp/tq increase over stock. That was measured at the wheels on a chassis dyno. A stock tundra dynos at 280-320 at the wheels, so this setup is easily over 600 crank hp. FWIW I have basically the same results for around 10k but didn’t have it “professionally” installed. Sure, it’s a lot of money but it’s nothing compared to a new truck.

Doubt it will make you feel any better, but the white mark on the pipe near the factory sensor is more than likely from manufacturing/assembly. Every one I’ve seen had some kind of white paint pen graffiti in that spot.

Was hoping to hear if the TRD intake and stock TB is a restriction with the 80mm pulley or if the wheels and tires account for all the loss.

These trucks definitely pull when supercharged. Flat torque across the whole range is amazing for tow/hauling. 0-60 as low as ~4.5s

    Too many mods to come

Plenty of power to be had with the 5.7 and blower many here are making over that power.

Seems kinda suspect that there looks to be an x where the sensor should have gone.....doesn't change that it's not installed in the right location

Wow! Did they read directions? Aem and Innovate say about 18 inches from manifold. Should be right around front of primary cat or a bit closer.
Some shops will put it further down but I'd like a quicker read.
