Those fender flares look good from the side, but what always negated me was looking from the back or the front. I bet they keep rocks at bay. The other day I was merging on the freeway and heard some huge rock hit the door. Pretty sure it got loose from the treads and flew.

That aeroskin thingy on the hood, doesnt it ruin your mileage? It basically creates turbulence to disorient flight of bugs.

Good to know. The $1000-1500 cost always deterred me from replacing and considering othe blackout options.
    $379 is way more reasonable!

Flares with any amount of coverage definitely start a slippery slope. In my opinion, what ends up making them look wrong from the front or back has everything to do with matching the wheel offset to the flare. So if the flares stick out an extra inch from the vehicle, move the wheels out an inch to match. Trucks with wheels that visibly stick out the side, and trucks that have big flares with wheels buried down inside the well, both look wrong. Which is how I currently look. But I have a set of Titan spacers sitting ready to fix that… :)

And of course the slope slips to other things like the bumper width…

So has that eBay listing been discontinued? I’ve searched for about 30 minutes including spelling out the exact same product listing and narrowing some filters and I’m just not finding it. Could be I’m doing something dumb…. But if someone has a link I’d appreciate it.

Thanks, glad I’m not crazy. Though I find it really odd armordillo would sell it on eBay for half the price of their own website which has it for 800, looks identical though, I wonder if it’s a knockoff or something’s going on. Hope it relists for that $370 price because I was gonna jump all over that, hardly anything in that price range.

Yeah your right. The og ebay listing I had saved- had a photo of the Armordillo branded cutout. Likely a china direct eBay account with access to the mold? Not sure but the price difference was nice.

I have the Armordillo bull bar. Wasn't my first choice in a "bumper" but I found it used on CL for a price I couldn't resist. But I'm now looking real hard at the bash fab bumper. Much more money but also much more effective at what I need it for. Elk in the roads, idiots in the passing lane.

Picked red up from the shop after some much needed paint and body work this weekend. Had new wheels and tires put on a month or so ago. I have some new running boards on the way, so she’s finally getting back to her former glory.

Oh well - my wife has weighed in saying she really likes the hybrid style better anyway... ("The more tube-y ones")
She loves the tundra so I'm certainly not complaining

Bashfab makes great stuff but if I was to go drop a bunch of money on a bumper right now, I really like all 3 of these even though they're totally different styles

I’m normally not a fan of red on vehicles, but that’s sharp! Especially with the murdered out headlights and tail lights.

@Magnet18 that cbi hybrid bumper looks like a good option. I'd call and chat with someone to ensure fitment though.

There's a lot of unnecessary mods here, and this is one of them. I installed the battery monitor in my engine cover.

    IMG_4106.jpg

Under-hood battery monitoring activated when you open the hood or insert the key. Shows amps and battery capacity so I can watch my under-hood lights drain my battery in real-time.

    IMG_4105.jpg

Of course Bluetooth monitoring from inside the cab.

That's very cool. Would be neat if the screen could monitor the can-bus and also read out engine vitals and such. absolutely 1000% unnecessary, but definitely cool

I like the war machine. Blood red is a great color.
For sure. You and I are in the same boat when it comes to this item. Really really want it. Likely going to have to wait for it.

After a long year and a half of trying to figure out why I was getting a knocking in my steering wheel at slow speeds when turning, I finally replaced the intermediate steering shaft assembly yesterday and my truck feels brand new! I cannot be more excited. Thank you @Garvin74 for helping me diagnose the problem and sending me the right part number!

If anyone is having the same issue, here is the exact part number I replaced.
