Thank you for a well thought and nicely articulated response; even though it's not the direction I'm looking to go, I sincerely appreciate your time and attention to detail

Since we are talking grooming, what do you guys use for razors (except you bearded mountain men)?

I gave up on the normal razor brands years ago and subscribe to the Dollar Shave Club. Great prices, decent razors and very easy to change my subscription. I use their hair gel too. I also recommend their One Wipe Charlies…individual wet wipes. Keep 4-5 of those in my travel kit.

It's been 20+ years since I've let a razor touch my face. :D
Even when I did shave, I didn't like the feeling of a clean shaven face. Call me weird

I use an electric trimmer and keep it at #1. If I leave town for a work event, I go to a barber for a nice fade.

    Neck/cheek: I use a razor

I haven’t been on a plane or to a barber in probably 8 years. Some say I resemble Sasquatch……..

I think the last time I used a razor to shave was like 7 years ago or maybe even longer lol

Merkur double edge razor. 200 blades was $80 and will last me most of my life.

I used to use a double edge. I developed a bump on my neck from a surgery scar. It got shaved off and my neck bled for almost a week. I had to put a huge gauze pad on it and wrap my neck to keep it in place. Now I use an Atra? But only when I have a meeting with customers. Othewise, shitty looking neck beard.

What's a good mud tire for pavement and quite so it doesn't bother me while on the phone or watching TV?

Electric trimmer generally got me 'close enough', so that was my go to

If I did need a blade for the occasion, I'd just use the cheap ones; good enough for tattoo artists, good enough for me :D
