To those that got rid of the secondary cats, are the midpipes still double walled at the secondary cats? I’m just wondering about when you weld pieces of pipe in their place, do you just not worry about the inner pipe being the true flow path and weld to the outer pipe? That seems like it would cause a lot of the turbulence in the exhaust flow if that were the case.

    y'all, I need an assist.

SCOL says these are the 3 items I need to replace my stock airbox.

    do y'all concur?

and - what filter does this take?

You don’t need the rubber intake tube, it won’t work with the Harrop. You have to stretch the Harrop intake tube over the new airbox lid (it’s a real PITA but doable). You just need the lower base and the lid. Filter wise, any filter that is for an 07-13 tundra will fit.

    What about the TRD intake?

would I need to re-tune? or is it a simple swap?

or is the SCOL version a better option?

I guess it depends if you want the larger intake MAF tube or not. The SCOL magnuson lid has a larger MAF tube so a tune adjustment is required for that aspect. The standard TRD intake for NA trucks which I believe you linked should be plug and play for your stock airbox (can’t comment on the filter size for that one). If you get the TRD SC intake box though then that’s the same situation as the SCOL magnuson intake box as it’s a larger MAF tube.

I have been getting sporadic P0101 codes, I also had 30% ethenol so needed to reset in Techstream, version 17 said it has been decommissioned & wanted me to update which obviously I can't do through their link so I set my laptop back a year. I really only use this for the truck so it isn't the end of the world but anyone know where I can find a viable version?

I think I'm gonna postpone the install a couple weeks.

the Truck goes in the paint shop FINALLY. to repair the tornado damage from 1/24/23. (just paint damage)

I'll confirm the MAF tube diameter once it comes in.

I guess it would be cheaper if I went back to Peitz, since he has the present HPT tune.

The TRD box with the red top is the same MAF tube as stock (3.6x”) so you should be good, no tune adjustment needed. I’d argue that if you were replacing it anyway you SHOULD get the larger intake (3.86”) and get it retuned, but if you’re happy with it how it is then i guess there is no point. The black TRD airbox like @M3Tundra-JK was using in his truck is the larger one, and is the same diameter as the SCOL magnuson box.

That’s a 6.2 as well. Cool to see the tundra can put up similar numbers at the wheels to a 6.2 with the same blower and a 10 speed. I wonder how much power a stock 6.2 is good for reliably without having to beef things up?

If I bought a 6.2 I’d be buying one of those modules to disable the cylinder deactivation on day 1.

Getting ready to order the following and figured I'd ask to make sure no one has spares they're looking to sell.

-Harrop stage 1 kit from SCOL (buying new)
-Magnuson/SCOL upper airbox (should mate correctly to my '07 larger airbox)
    -DW 650cc injectors
    -Radium single catch can

Already working in HPTuners, so that is covered. Wideband will be installed in the next 2 weeks, actual SC *may* have to wait until after our move to Austin, but the fuel pump will get installed in my shop in OR before we leave.

Yes, forgot that part. 80mm pulley will be ordered, but I'll do initial tuning on the 85mm.

Yes, but just like with most businesses, Magnuson will organize people receiving their kits earlier for the purpose of doing videos and stuff to drum up hype and whatnot for the release. My business partner was one such lucky individual with the 3GTacoma magSC, installed and with video taken at/by VR Racing in Arizona.

Harrop has sold an upgrade kit for their 2650 unit to adapt to the magnuson 1900 kit for a while now I believe. It appears there is some kind of allure to the magnuson products over the other brands, but I haven’t figured out why that is yet. I guess the name just sounds cool?

    Sure that is typical.

According to the post I was responding to it is available on the Maggie site for purchase.

The purpose of my post was resharing the link for folks that wanted to see it installed in a truck and and where the user shared their performance #s.

Several people have come along asking about it to see who has it but the blower just came out.

It also seems like folks are expecting different performance #s when it is the same size as the Harrop using the same rotors. It is also not changing the engine's limitations.
