I've seen the thread about running wires into the 2.5 Gen bed. Does the same process apply to 3rd Gen? https://www.tundras.com/threads/running-wires-into-bed.84534/

I plan on running the Goal Zero Vehicle Integration Kit and would like to get inverters configured in both the bed and the cab. I'll keep the battery in the SnugTop covered bed so I'm looking for a clean way to run from the battery into the front area of the bed and then run a cord to back to an inverter in the cab of my '23 SR5 Crewmax 6.5.

Any tips or hints or links appreciated!

Don't know about gen3, but in my gen2.5 I ran the 7AWG wire from the main battery above the frame to the second battery in the bed. The wire is wrapped in loom and zip tied to the factory wire harness that runs along the bed. Ground is connected to bed.

It successfully underwent an offroad testing with forcing a beaver dam up to doors and then winching the truck through mud, stomps and boulders. The fridge powered by the second battery haven't had any power delivery issues and kept my beer cold.

Actually installed this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N15Z5GP Need to add this switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MMC914 for "oh shit" moments when in need of emergent winch or second battery shut off.

I went pretty simple, but I also knew that I was going to have a low power draw.

I wanted bed power for a 12v Fridge. The fridge I'm running operates at 60 watts (87 watt peak at initial compressor start) and 4.5 amps. It's pretty tame.

So I ran 14/2 awg from the battery to the bed inside a wire loom and installed a marine-style power outlet (pic below). It's got an integrated switch so I can prevent a parasitic draw. I've got a 15 amp in-line fuse as well. The fridge also has low voltage protection to keep the startup battery from draining down too far, but I don't really lean on that too much. I pretty much run the fridge off the truck while driving and then switch it over to my Jackery unit if I'm going to be parked for awhile.

I toyed with a bigger setup that would be able to power my compressor too and running a full-blown Marine-style setup with bus bars, 8 awg wire, a low voltage disconnect, and the whole shebang...but I opted to keep my power draw low.

Where and how did you get the wire into the bed?

Down from the battery to the frame and along the passenger side of the frame and then up to the bed (in between the composite bed & the outer body panel of the bed). It was pretty easy, TBH. Install probably took me 90 mins. Here's some pics of the final install:

About how many feet did you use?
I'm running 1/0ga to the bed from my distribution block by the battery (running power tools with a couple extra batteries in bank in the bed)
