Female/Female ? Just get two females and have them welded together and cut to length. Really common way to do it, LOTS cheaper too.

Absolutely, its the only way we could do it for a long time. Figure out your overall length, find someone to cut the ends, probably need to turn the tail on the male to fit the inside diam. of the female and weld it together. So long as the person welding it knows how to weld

Yo Cruzer, sick build! You've inspired me to get back out wheelin and modding my rig, my wallet doesn't thank you. Not sure if you've heard of Califabrication out of Sacramento, but he had a divorced Atlas TCase stuffed in his SAS/4Linked Tundy before he sold it. MY buddy had some work done by him on his 4Runner and said that his work is second to none. Might be worth a call to pick his brain if you're still heading that direction with your rig. I know if all goes to plan I'll be heading that route in the next few years:anonymous:

Thanks! Yeah CaliFab does some great work. I thought about getting a divorced Atlas but I calculated that the TC would extend so far back that it would be competing for space against the fuel tank.

Only after seeing complete service records to verify it's been well-maintained. And an in-person inspection (if that's a San Antonio truck or from any other place with significant flooding, I'd want to look at everything and drive it like we drive it).

That said, you've been looking awhile and, if it's pristine, that's a price point I'd consider for what you want. Mileage isn't scary. Banner had 208k when I bought him.

I finally got 4Lo working when the truck thinks it’s in 2WD!!

I initially made it more complicated than it had to be. Now I just gotta clean it up and make it production ready.

Not the best looking thing but it’ll do.

I’ll be able to use the Tow/Haul button to give me the boost I need in 4Lo. Hopefully I don’t break shit now that I’ve bypassed the ultimate nanny.

Can you elaborate on what that means and why you needed to do it?

When I had 37s it was easier to climb up an obstacle, say for example a 3’ ledge, but with 40s I couldn’t go up the same ledge. I’d step on the gas and it didn’t want to do anything. Couldn’t even get the RPMs high enough. Apparently, the ECU is limiting how high your RPMs or throttle valve angle are when in 1st gear 4Lo.

As you know, the tow button can be programmed for a different throttle valve angle. I’ve tried 1st gear at 15% and holy shit it’ll jump! But the tow button only works in 2wd. I need the tow button oomph in 4Lo hence this box.
