Went driving out is in SD on 50 + miles of gravel…. Opened my tailgate to find about an inch of dust in the back and about 1/4 inch up front near the cab. Bed is covered with a tonneau. Only afterwards did I pay attention to this huge gap between the tailgate and the body.

Is there a clean solution for this?IMG_8234.jpgIMG_8232.jpg

That looks nice. I had a load of mulch a whole back that caused me a bunch of extra work cleaning out of that spot. I had a tarp in the bed but some spilled right down in there. I will probably order one of those, thanks for the link:yes:

I installed the kit from Amazon linked above last night. So far it looks like it will seal the bed nicely, but makes the tailgate hard to close. It may be my additional PaxRax tailgate panel but I almost need to slam the tailgate for it to close all the way.

I installed mine today it comes with a long piece that is smaller and a shorter larger diameter piece . I use the short piece for sides and the small diameter for bottom worked well .
I haven’t put the piece on the tailgate, is it needed?

Just test it with a hose , I do that with any tonneau or gasket install . That will tell you if you need additional pieces or silicone sealing

It depends on how tight you want the seal. After shining a light all around the tailgate and looking inside I decided to add the pieces on the tailgate.

I can't remember off the top of my head which state the extruding company is. But we designed it, they manufacture it and send it over to us. THen we cut it here in Rocklin. It never leaves the States. I can't tell you how many of these suckers I've cut and boxed up.

I know we make the AeroBox in Indiana

But BumperShellz are made right here in Rocklin, CA!

We only make stuff in the USA

THe material is more flexible and more durable/long-lasting than some of the cheaper Chinese knock-offs you can find on eBay and Amazon. If you're worried about shipping time, we can ship them out same or next day, EASY.

does anyone have a pic of this gap shield on a gen 3 tundra? specifically , how does it works towards the corners of the bed where the largest gap is, it doesnt go straight across there

We should be bringing @V6Raider back to our shop soon to test fit some new parts. Maybe he has a photo for you right now? If not, I'll have to take one. Typically, this product is just an adjust-and-trim-to-fit type of installation. Have you watched our install video yet?

Yes, watched the video and totally understanding cut to fit, it’s just towards the sides of the bed it starts to curve up and the bed stays flat as it gets to the corner so I’m wondering how that installs there if someone had done it before, it’s not just flat all the way across like older ones

    thanks
