I’m sorry people still bought this. I should have voiced my displeasure louder. It is the price for what you get that is outrageous.

Thanks for the offer but I don’t have any plans to go further at this time. Who knows, might change my mind in a couple months.

I'm installing new supply/return fuel lines. Those that put in new fuel lines did you remove the factory or leave in place?
    Thanks

I removed the stock hard lines and ran the new lines through the same brackets, zip-tied to the brackets.

I removed all the lines from the engine, but I was also in the middle of the s/c install so that was easy. Left the hardlines, removed the ones on top of gas tank

Update, dropped the tank a second time. Put on a 5/16 hose instead of 3/8. Used a heat gun to warm up the ends to slip over the Walbro which is meant for a 3/8. Then used the heat gun to slip over the OEM 5/16 outlet. Then applied two hose clamps on both ends covering the meat of the barbs. Only been a day but start ups after several hours sitting are back to normal which is great, hopefully stays that way!

@Ponderosa_Pine are you using a unmodified canister. No holes and factory venturi? Been researching the 450. I've ran a few different pumps over the years and have a 325lph from fiveO. Slowly upgrading...

I’ve got the 450 rubber lines, and drilled out holes in the canister. No issues

Similar to reywcms I removed the guts of the canister (2021 not flex fuel version) and then added holes (since no venturi, the inlet becomes very small). Tbd on how this impacts low fuel performance (driving around "normal" at 1/4 tank was okay so far). I manually drained the tank so saw that the tank does have a low spot where the pump is, but an incline/acceleration would put alot of the gas at the rear. The process I did was similar to Prospeeds write up here (and URD has the Tacoma writeup version too). Essentially the issue with the walbro pumps is that they have a fat bottom and won't fit into the OEM filter donut in the basket, whereas the five-0 and aeromotive/etc. will still, which honestly makes things so much simpler now that I have seen how theses work in person. Unless there is a very compelling reason to go to Walbro sticking with a smaller lph unit will save alot of headache. The other con of running a walbro is that we're removing the main OEM fuel filter. I am guessing its a 10 micron filter, whereas the inlet sock on the pump is likely a 100 micron. Thus if you install a walbro you really need to add back a 10 micron filter somewhere in the fuel system after the pump. I am going to add a deatschwerks 110 fuel filter for that reason. The new 750cc injectors I got even clearly said to install a after pump filter (which makes sense).

Back in 2015 I ran the aermotive 340 with holes in canister. Running with about 1/4 or less of fuel in tank i would lose suction. Blew a rod as it went to 13.3 afr shifting from 4-5. Not sure if was the pump. Most likely from running Bullydog and too much pressure both asp pulleys. The early days sucked with no real tuning available. Appreciate all the info.

Thanks. I Installed a bracket on frame for filter. Will be ordering 450 and injectors then tune. Who is a decent tuner in WA? I had Dustin from DAP about five years ago but he ran into issues with my setup.

I got it off of eBay, just made sure the part numbers and years were correct. The Toyota system says they aren't set up by the vin number and you just plug them in. The new ECM is doing the same thing, and if I unplug the ECM the truck does the same thing. I'm going to test fuses and trace wires today, hopefully I find something. Thanks for all the help! @snivilous has been a big help with everything.

The kit has a relay, I used the OEM power wire to energize the relay.

The best way to get a 450lph pump installed according to what I’ve read as posted by Matt Smith on FB is to get the Walbro 450 part number 267 (not 274) and it’s a drop in pump for the FFV fuel basket and retains the jet pump, which is actually a larger one in that case. If you really must have a 450 that’s supposedly the best way to do it. If you don’t have an FFV or don’t want to swap to an FFV basket the best drop in option for the standard pump basket is the DW300C 340lph. I have no personal experience on the matter other than to say my 300C works great, but just thought I’d pass along that information for anyone interested.

My working DW300c is way better than the defective Walbro 450. Also, their customer service was so bad I'd never consider another thing from them.

I'm trying to think of future plans. I'm running 10psi with 11.9afr with stock internals. Still have 535cc injectors. Deciding to go with 650cc or 750cc injectors. I do need a tune as my afr will creep up if I stay on it.

I was gonna ask, what was the decision to run it that lean? Or is it maxed out? Which would make more sense, considering I nearly have my 715s maxed out running 10psi

When I replaced my engine I thought I put the stock crank pulley on. But it was the asp overdrive crank pulley plus SC pulley. DAP was supposed to tune it but he was having trouble. I keep an eye on it when driving and don't do full on wot runs. Not the safest but will get it right. I know I should have just threw on the stock pulley... i believe it's maxed with the 535's.

Well if you have HPT and need help let me know, even if it's just to see what the injector duty cycle is
