    2000 Tundra TRD
    Just over a week ago i purchased my first vehicle, a 2000 tundra TRD access cab. I have pretty much no mechanical experience but would like to do almost all of the work myself. I drove the truck for about a week until i was driving down my road, hit a pothole and heard a loud pop. The truck is now sitting much lower and makes an awful metal on metal grinding sound when i turn left. I’ve done a little bit of research, but like i said am very inexperienced. If anyone has ideas on what could be broken or can point me in the right direction i would very much appreciate it.

    Well if it was lower balljoint (LBJ) or upper balljoint (UBJ) fail, I'm thinking your wheel would be non-vertical and would flop when turning, so if it's currently still vertical, I'm going to take a stab that either (A) you're in a rusty area and a suspension mount broke off from rust, or (B) one of your front struts and/or one of its components, like its spring, has snapped. I'm just trying to figure out how mechanically something would make contact when turning.

    Needless to say, stop driving the truck until you figure this out.
