Man that's terrible! Your dealership should be somewhat of an advocate when there's an issue. Mine wasnt/ isn't near that bad. I really do love the truck but the only fix to the throttle lag that I can find is the pedal commander. People have said that solves thier issue. You clearly have more bad shit goin on with yours. Hope they get It figured out.

I wonder if the ECU got a seatbelt disconnected input.

This is exactly it on my pickup. Make a complete stop, no hesitation or lag. Come to a rolling stop, and I get hesitation/lag every time. It's so predictable, I can time the lag with oncoming traffic.

If the dealer cannot fix this issue, I'd sell the truck and get something else. Bottom line is that it should not be behaving in this fashion.

TSB didn't help here. Happens almost every morning pulling up out of my driveway to the point of I'd like to invite a service tech over in the morning to see it happen dependably. It's scary and ridiculous. There's no way Toyota doesn't know about it, it's just probably not an easy fix at this point.

New Tundra owner here, Limited TT with 1,100 miles. I think I’ve found the right thread. Started to ease into traffic and as I was in the middle of pulling out the truck lost all power. Regained it and I was able to begin accelerating through the intersection when it happened again. I went straight to the dealer and have an appointment for tomorrow. Is there any advice I can pass along to the dealer in terms of replicating the issue?

Also, the Turbo lag. Is this the over revving that I have to do to get this truck moving while easing into the throttle? It gets to about 1500-2000 rpm before it starts to behave like a normal vehicle. It almost feels like a detachable lift chair on a mountain. It starts going slowly and eventually the chair grabs the cable and takes off? I’ve had this since day one and noticed it very clearly on my 10 hour drive home.

Anything to prep me for my dealer visit tomorrow would be huge! Thanks y’all.

I have noticed when I'm pulling my camper in tow+ it hasn't lagged, Does it in all other modes. I've had mine in 2 different dealerships with no solution. One tech tried to tell me it was my air filters. Good luck!

    Following!
Mine had not done this yet but after reading the different posts I have to wonder if the problem is one of the new
“ fabulous ” safety sensors kicking in by mistake. Like if you open the door while the engine is running- zero throttle

Did the tsb on mine worked good for a bit then it came back! Rolling stops is where it’s really noticeable.

For me as I drive up my drive way Trans shifts to 2nd as I slow down it will pull throttle to shift into first then throttle is restored. Past Ford would just bang into first and the whole truck would shake. For me as I understand it's just pulling throttle to get into 1st gear smoothly. I'm ok with it.

Did you had the TSB done at the dealer? It addresses this issue and may help. See the TSB updates sticky thread
