I'd love to see a shot of that and more info. I'd like something like that in the future.

Installed new rear rotors and pads, painted my rear hubs black, got the black lug nuts on, and got my spare on after persuading the brackets.

TRD Rad cap arrived. Easily 80hp. Also can reconfirm the throttle body coolant bypass mod is worth it. I’ve seen 5-8 degrees cooler coolant temps and lower IAT temps.

The coolant bypass would probably work well for me since I'm in Fl.

I dirtied my exhaust. 2021 Limited. Dirty Deeds 8" cat-back in stainless. Consider me a believer. Took the truck and wife on a good steam today, and could not be more pleased. No drone. Damn near stock noise levels at idle and cruise speeds 60mph/2000rpm. But when you give her some there is this wonderful growl which grows with RPM's. I was quoted 4 weeks when I ordered mine, it was delivered in 3. Happy customer.

Oh, and 5100 Bilsteins have been installed in the front at the mid setting (1.57"). Got her nose up. They handle well, firmed things up, much improvement over stock.

is this mod pretty “safe”? I know some people recommend not messing with the engineering of the truck

If you’re in Wisconsin I’d say leave it alone. The throttle body coolant line is meant to get the TB up to working temps faster in colder weather. For anyone in mild climates, it’s probably fine. I did it on mine a couple years ago and haven’t noticed any issues, but I rarely see temps below freezing, and that’s only overnight.

I’d say from air flow cold climate perspective the condition window for freezing the tb is small. The moment you fire the truck up it’s going to get warm quick.

In more extreme colder climates I would test it out. Here in the pnw it does get cold but again the conditions and the truck warming to me makes it not a concern.

I think that you will get at least 85hp out of that radiator cap on hot day and closer to 92.35 on a cold day.....

I use one of these (not this brand) when pulling my enclosed car trailer. The camera to screen is wireless and works well. The one mistake I made is I’m powering the camera from the rear marker lights which means I need at least the marker lights on during the day. This makes it hard to see the radio screen on the dash during the daytime. I’m going to run constant 12v to it before I use it next. Otherwise very helpful.

That's funny because mine is wired the exact same way. As far as my head unit, my Pioneer has a dimmer setting that I can tap to brighten the display during the day when the lights are on.

definitely next on my list! Think I'll get the TRD oil cap as well since that yields another 34.

500 HP is a nice round number!

At 34,726 miles I had the stealership change transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, front/rear differential fluids, brake fluids and oil change with filter.

Phew...cha-ching but peace of mind for a long, long time and recorded in their system just in case...$1,258.61 in DFW Texas.

If your lights are on during the day, you can turn on the radio display back on to Daytime Mode in Display Settings. A Daytime Mode button will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Holy cow. I have that coming up in 6k miles or so at 50k. I let the dealership do the 4wd driveline service at 20k and it was $300-ish at Toyota of Plano.

That's my worry...but since they did it it's now their issue. I do all my own maintenance on the truck and only wanted the 35k checkup with the addition of all fluids changed. Wondered what it would cost and now I know.

Went to the stealershipast week for my first oil change. Holy sticker shock when he asked if I wanted any other services, but after my 1 hrs change they had my truck for 3 hours, I said I was coming to pick it up. $30 each for 3 bulbs? 572 for a PCV? Gotta be joking my ass. Surprised they didn't hit me with the in cabin air filter (which I replaced the week before) and engine air filter. I couldn't believe how much they wanted, only went in for oil change.

Moe - if you’re not comfortable doing those things let us walk you through it. Lose that dealer and find a good honest independent garage. They exist - at least here in rural SC
