Hello, I have a 2019 TRD Pro with the Fox suspension. I've noticed when slowly driving over bumps, pulling out of my driveway that's on an incline, or driving over rough terrain popping or snapping noises coming from the front suspension. Also a squeaking noise coming from the front suspension when stepping on my running boards while getting in and out of the truck. Is this a serious issue?

Look through the threads on here. Others have talked about the creaking/groaning noises.......

Per the discussion on this it seems to be something very minor with bushings or something down on the skid plate. Others have replaced these very small parts and found it to fix that noise you speak of.

Hope that helps. If you can find that particular thread......the folks on here do a good job of explaining what it is and how to fix it.

Start small, take off the skid plate and see if the noise goes away. Confirm all the hardware is tight on the suspension. When I installed mine I put a paint mark on every nut and bolt I tightened to spec. Then, with just a glance I can tell if any of it has backed off.

Quite a few folks have had similar experiences. It’s apparently an issue sometimes with the aluminum skid plate. I have never had any noise like that from my Pro, so it certainly isn’t all of them

Newbie here just got my 2021 TRD Pro and I have same issue. Taking it to the dealer on Wednesday. With 31k miles I'm thinking it should be covered regardless if skid plate or suspension.

At dealer now, getting standard maintenance however I advised of noise from underneath possibly from skid plate. Truck has 31k and still under warranty but they advised the skid plate is not covered? Also stating the skid plate is suppose to move around an creak for off road tolerance stress? That doesn't make sense to me, anyone else encounter this from their dealers?

Skid plate likely not warranty item for impact. Not sure how it’s “supposed to move” when it’s bolted tight with 5 fasteners…. I’d call bullshit.

Actually stated on toyota sites, I agree with you but hard to argue for now. Maybe a case down the road. I had them install bushings an it did fix the issue.

Can anyone describe more specifically what “bushings” were replaced to correct the suspension noise issues? (Shocks, torsion bars, springs, skid plate….)
