We just got a Perception High Life 11 SUP/Kayak hybrid - its 11 feet long, 34" wide and weighs 55lbs. I have a Leer 100XR with Thule Aeroblade crossbars installed directly from Leer. We want to haul this cross country and some will be interstate traveling 75-80MPH. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can tie the bow line to? I'll tie the stern to the hitch. I am not sure the bow line will make it to the front of the truck without the line rubbing on top of the cab. I just bought a Thule SUP XT Taxi saddle that I will mount to the crossbars. Suggestions / advice?

No Bow rope needed…. Yakima supdawg is all use for my 12’sup board… I don’t use one on my surf ski either…. On the Frwy all the time and never an issue… .02’cents

I use two pieces of rope tied through a piece of rubber hose. I hang the rope out of the hood and the rubber hose is on the side of the engine bay. The rubber hose keeps tight in the engine bay and I loop the bow lines through the rope loop and back up to the kayaks. Should work the same way with a paddle board. It’s easy, cheap and extremely effective

    same concept as this:

We hauled a 13’ Eddyline kayak and 12.5’ Boardworks SUP on top of our ARE Z-Series last year. We have Rhino aero bars no red to the top.

No issues on a 2,600 mile road trip through MT, WA, ID, WY, and OR. Nothing bu the straps on the roof rack, which are spread as far apart as you can on a shorty bed topper. Nothing wiggles around.

My wife hauls her board on her Jetta the same way. It’s solid.
