How do these run on road in the rain compared to other M/T’s?

I just ordered the Baja Boss M/T’s but I’m second guessing if I should have gone with the A/T version. Anyone have experience with both? I will definitely be doing overland/off-roading, although I will be driving long distances on-road to get there. I’m purpose building this rig for overland/off-road with my wife and kids so this is not my daily driver. What are your thoughts?

I drove about 100+ miles with my kids back and forth to the mountains to New Hampshire
on road with the MTs rode just fine. The kids didn't complain at all. It's pretty quiet driving on the road with them.

@reywcms will probably give you his opinion on the MTs, I know he did a long trip to the Baja with the MTs.

You won’t disappointed. Hands down best tire around even in the MT version. Not loud at all in the cab. I’ve done multiple long trips on mine.

@reywcms sweet pics! will give those a try once my Dick Cepek extreme country are due. Ran the Baja atz and am a fan of all Cepek and Thompson tires. Really sucks they gated all the logging roads in WA.

I’m out in Vegas. The suspension is all installed up and alignment is done but we’re having issues with a pull to the right. Alignment coming back with a radial pull. I had to stay another night. He’s going to put tires from another truck on tomorrow to see if the issue goes away. This would confirm if it’s the new tires causing the pull to the right that’s happening.

Anyone have any pulling to the right radial pull issues with these tires?

Nope no issues- why not just move that tire to the rear?

I think he already tried moving tires around. Still pulls right.

I'd also reach put to Mickey Thompson maybe they'll replace it. They have a note on weight usage also. I'd confirm the alignment just to be sure. We had this issue last week with a buddies tundra on 37s with Toyo's. Said it is what it is with the pulling to the right from the first place. Went to a different shop. No issues lol. Go figure.

You need to also pay close attention to detail, I failed that. I was looking at everything (I thought) when they came in I had the truck ready with all my trimming done first. I had a small rub and I could not find it at first but when I lock the steering rack it rubs on the front of the UCA, the tire is marked as 37x12.50 and they are 36.8x13.00

I always understood the numbers would never be the exact amount and slightly smaller. This is the first time I bought a tire wider than it is marked.

No regrets, it is very minor. With a good alignment it is very close. Before my alignment I wheeled in Colorado for 20 days out on the trail in 3.5 weeks. I never felt rubbing but I see at full stuff tire is above UCA and full droop below the UCA. It is mainly at ride height and tight corner

I have been wheeling for close to 40 years and I believe if your tires don’t rub they are not big enough

I had a balancing issue with my first set of Baja Boss A/T (not M/T's sorry) and Mickey Thompson did warranty them for 80% credit (put a few thousand miles on them). My new set is balanced and wearing fine now but I DO feel the truck always pulling/wanting to drift a little right - been like this for a few months. I’ve just gotten used to it. Was coming home from my welding class last night and every road I was on it wanted to pull right (remembered this post so I wanted to see if it was still happening). Got about 15,000+ miles on this set i think. I rotate every 5k miles too

The right wheel bearing seems to be dragging more than the left when spinning them without the wheels on. We are thinking it is likely a defective wheel bearing on the right side causing the slight pull to the right.

The alignment has been done and the issue is still happening. Suspension guy and alignment guy know what they’re doing. The issue was there before I brought it to them which is why it is likely the wheel bearing on the right side.
