2004 - 2006 DC Evolution

Hey guys,

Some of y'all have seen me floating around the last few weeks. Been on the hunt for a DC 4.7 4wd first gen for a few months now. Other than the VVTI, what are the other notable differences between the 2004, 2005, 2006? I'm thinking safety features, component updates, body changes, etc. Just as an FYI I'm thinking I'll probably end up with and SR5 as I'm more interested in cloth seats, but wouldn't turn down a limited either. VVti started '05 along with the added emissions. '04 is considered by quite a few as a hybrid year, between stuff existing on the '00-'03 and stuff existing in the '05-'06.

 

Holy cow. I have read the "so you wanna buy..." thread all the way through but forgot about the sub links. What a massive amount of info! Thanks for posting this. Seems like a good bit was changed in 04 then a ton was changed in 05.

And yeah, that thread is a moving target. I make at least half a dozen updates to it a every few weeks.
