The Rock Climbing Chalk Bag Water Bottle Holder Mod! Probably one of the easiest/fastest mods yet.

While I was in PHX before T2S, I stopped at REI for some stuff and happened to walk past the rock climbing chalk bags.
I remember seeing the mod on here on the forum at some point, and also knew I was gonna need a place for my ToyoMafia Nalgene, so I grabbed one. Of course, I didn’t pull out my tools the whole week at T2S, so I didn’t get to the mod itself till I got home.
    upload_2023-5-2_21-15-50.jpg

First step was to cut a short piece of dowel that I had laying around. It’s about 3.5” long, but I just eyeballed it based on holding the two tabs flat and eyeballing it. Then, I just wiggled two small zip ties through the weave of the eyelets and tightened them down.
    upload_2023-5-2_21-17-40.jpg

Give them a quick trim with a flush cutter and test fit with a nalgene.
    upload_2023-5-2_21-18-15.jpg

In the truck, open the console lid and pry up the shifter/cupholder bezel tray. Slip the dowel up into the crack and make sure it is up into the hollow cavity. I placed mine just forward of the yellow trim clip, and made sure the little tab that goes down into the side panel was lined up with the gap between the two loops.
    upload_2023-5-2_21-19-57.jpg

Press everything back down into place and revel in your new water bottle mount!
    upload_2023-5-2_21-20-34.jpg

(Seriously, including pictures, this whole mod took less time than it will take you to read it).

Installed an organizer tray thing to the right of the cup holders.

I had to make a few trims to make it work with the Scosche charger unit, but overall I’m thinking this will be much more functional in that space.
I didn’t anchor it down because to be able to remove that console piece you need to remove these first. The front one fits pretty snug and everything stays in place pretty well (so far).

I also pulled my relocated bed rails out today and installed some of these “V” rings at two of the mounting points on each side. I hate the big goofy factory tie-down mounts, and the rails themselves were of compromised strength due to the TC-USA relocate kit, so I never really used them anyway.

Also added a little bling to my sliders.

When I put the Agency6 winch shackle on, the SSO fairlead license plate mount didn't extend far enough out to let the plate pivot down quite right. Then, after getting a bit throttle happy on one of the obstacles at Broken Arrow at T2S, I managed to bend the shit out of the license plate mount and form-fit my plate to the winch shackle (it looked way worse in person - it was pretty bent up)
    upload_2023-6-3_10-57-58.jpg

The powder coat on that mount was also pretty beat up and there was some rust showing up already, so I decided I wanted to find something else that would 1. clear the bigger shackle and 2. potentially be easily removed if I wanted to when going off road.

That led me to browsing Agency6's website over Memorial Day weekend and discovering that they make a flip up license plate mount that bolts to two threaded holes they have designed in the top of their fairleads...and the mount is specifically sized to clear their winch shackles. With 15% off the whole site and finding a 1" fairlead in their "garage sale" section for a nice additional discount, I pulled the trigger.

    And it works GREAT.
The license plate mount is aluminum, so no rust issues. It also has slots to give some adjustment (I have it adjusted all the way back against my bumper - if I had bought the 1.5" fairlead there would have been room to push it farther back). ALL of the hardware supplied is stainless steel (the fairlead bolts and the hardware for the mount). I did add a little nickel anti-seize to the fairlead mounting bolts. It is a bit of a gap, but that is because that shackle block is thick.
    upload_2023-6-3_11-2-50.jpg

I also like that it sits and a slightly downward angle (this is because my bumper is at that angle, so the fairlead is at that angle). It is basically 90* to the face of the bumper, and the license plate matches the face of the bumper.
    upload_2023-6-3_11-5-19.jpg

When flipped up, it provides WAY more room surrounding the fairlead for pulls that might be angling upward.
    upload_2023-6-3_11-6-55.jpg

(and yes, my truck needs a bath)

Removal of the mount simply requires taking out the two 1/4-20 socket head screws from the top of the fairlead using a 5/32" hex wrench. At which point, I could mount a GoPro or something else there instead while off road.

I also swapped out the two outer lenses on my S8 lightbar with amber driving combo ones (photo taken before the A6 fairlead install).

Same as everyone else, but I think DC has the advantage. I couldn't do it on a 4R and I'm guessing no on an 1st AC?

Aren’t center consoles the same for AC/DC? I’m a bench seater, so I don’t have fancy stuff to mount to

In case you’re wondering - you should be required for seat heaters. That’s what those two round blanks are for.
My brother recently installed aftermarket seat heaters with the factory switches and wiring in his 05 DC SR5
