If you're getting the motive, buy their npt fitting and put it on the speedi bleed adapter.

I just bought an adapter and made my own pressure tank out of a 1 gallon garden sprayer. Just pick up a couple fittings and 5-6 feet of hose while at the hardware store. Probably costs less than 1/2 of the motive.

Purge valve runs about $80 but MSRP runs $110-120 if I recall. It's the same for all 1GT, I think.

Smoke machine: Check your LAPS. Many offer smoke machine as a rental. I'd start with Auto Zone, although Advance is my primary store. Auto Zone over here has some of the better tool rental options.

Not too bad on the purge, you had me worried! Think I'll go the @daveeasa route and just buy a smoke machine.

I finally connected the brake and running lights on my camper shell today (shown in profile picture). There's 1 positive wire that powers the dome lighting and roof vent fan. I am thinking of having a second car battery in the bed to power this in fear of draining my truck battery. Could I just throw an in-line fuse on an old car battery and call it good? will power be drawn even when lights and fan are off? curious if i should add a quick connect if so.

Looks good. Did you go w/the trim/install kit I posted about over here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/stereo-mounting-kits-for-later-model-gen1-trucks.110711/

I have the kit and I've been thinking about making the plunge the next time I've got the dash out to wire up my reverse camera but haven't gotten there yet.

I went with this one you mentioned - 99-8268

there was a lot of cutting and trimming because it’s a very universal kit. I had my old single unit as a template.

    Metra Electronics - Toyota - Highlander w/o Nav 01-07/Sequoia 03-07/Tundra 03-06 (99-8268) Metra Radio Install kits

im going to post a thread later this week asking about rear camera locations. Because I’m struggling to find the best option.

currently placed it next to the hitch and looked great, moved it to the center license place, and now thinking about the tailgate handle.

The frame is above average for my location. The axle, rocker panels and spare tire tell a different story.20230427_163737_HDR.jpg 20230427_163803_HDR.jpg

To me everything with the exception of the spare look like surface rust and something like a pneumatic wire wheel on a die grinder would easily remove.

If the rear diff is worse than it appears (from looking at it on a cellphone), don’t they make aftermarket covers that can be welded on on the event it leaks?

I’m in a similar situation my frame isn’t bad just surface rust like yours but my rear diff looks like it’s been sitting in saltwater lol. It’s not leaking yet so I’m going to try and clean it up and see if I can save it before it does

Pics to follow, as soon as I figure out my tire situation. Which reminds me, I need to go order new Denso TPM sensors at some point today.

Guess I need to get my UCA, CO, links installed too. :D

I'm dying myself. I die a little inside every weekend that goes by and I can't get it done because other shit is going on. I'm out of PTO at work, and I have 2.5 sick days to last me from now 'til end of year.

And you didn’t post your wonderful creation? How dare you! :D

I was actually thinking about buying the whole Speedi-Bleeder kit and also buying the hardware for an additional 20-25 psi relief valve. That would be used to protect the master cylinder in case the cheap pressure regulator breaks and puts 40 psi of pressure from the tire on the MC to blow out its seals.

Got Dad's and my truck in the garage for the storm here in Austin. The tail ends hang out but its better than nothing. Curse the son-of-a-gun who made our garages not big enough for trucks.

There was talk of hail with sizes of over 3" but the storm is over now and it rained hard for maybe 5 minutes. Story of my life.

Wheels arrived. One of the boxes is dented af. I looked at one, I think it'll be too dark for my taste. If so, I may end up paying the money I saved buying them to get 'em refinished. We'll see.

Test fit tomorrow, per seller's instructions. But not til late in the afternoon.

Tundra coming in clutch again, hauled my ktm 250 and crf 100 (my wife’s learning to ride on ) to Windrock plus 5 gallon gas can and ramps with the tailgate closed if you get the bikes set right.

rode all day Saturday, get the bikes loaded think I’m all good, go the slam the tailgate and one side catches, the other hits the back tire of the ktm , don’t catch and gets in bind.

pissed off I went to banging and pullin on the tailgate and broke the freakin handle :bananadead:guess I’ve got the excuse I needed to buy the oem. That stupid aftermarket one hasn’t been worth a flip since I bought it.

also got an abs light on the way home but awesome weekend none the less

and in case you need a laugh, Honda slung a chain, lost one of the nuts that holds tension on the adjuster got lost at some point on the trails this weekend

Brother in law had his rzr out riding with us. Loaded that sucker up on the rzr and hauled it out. Strapped burned up on the exhaust part of the the way back to the parking lot. Rigged it back up best we could, his wife takes over driving and he rides my bike out while I’m riding on the back keeping it pretty steady. That got some weird looks on the way back to the truck :anonymous:
