Can’t go wrong with kooks or SW. What’s the plan for keeping the check engine light from coming on? I know OTT won’t turn emissions or Evap crap off (I wish they would )

Ordered these. There's a guy up in Bonney Lake, WA that has had great success with them regarding LH's and Tundras.. gonna have him take care of my exhaust once I find parts. Prospeed told me this morning there isn't really any cats on the market that'll sustain the rich tune they prefer to keep the engine safe.

At least I attempted to keep the quiet OEM exhaust. So much for subtle

I added this to my Tacoma, just before the muffler, when I went to long tube headers that deleted the primary cats. Kept the secondary cats. It made a pretty good difference in mellowing out the loudness

    https://vibrantperformance.com/ultra-quiet-resonators-v1249/

    Edit: it was pretty too!

But say that you had more than enough injector for it to be a non-issue. Would it be worth the time and effort to "fix a problem that doesn't exist"; exceeding the suggested threshold of 85% Inj DC? For example, I've yet to see an Inj DC above 65% with the 750s at WOT, starting issue aside (which I mention because I've made zero progress and have no ideas on sorting, just venting:rolleyes:). :monocle:

Do you have the Prospeed “750” 715cc injectors or the Five-O true 750s?

Well that's my exact reason I've never boost referenced the regulator, if I did it wouldn't really change anything. The duty cycle would drop, but I only go over 80% when I go to low elevation and I've been fine with 95% duty cycle for those couple times a month the truck sees WOT down there. I'm lazy, I'd have to buy a tee and run more hose and retune the truck and at the end of the day nothing would really change besides the injectors being happier for about 30 seconds a month :D it'd be good to do, but as you say it's fixing a problem I don't really have since I have big enough injectors to make up for it.

But I think the takeaway is 650s are fine for even "high boost" applications if they're boost referenced. Unreferenced 715+/referenced 650s can handle around 11psi (on a Magnuson), and if you push more than that you need boost referenced 715+.

I wonder if boost reference would make the AFR more consistent. Mine seems to hit 10-10.5, and it doesn't really jump around but just settles in that range. I can't say if it's based on boost, though it doesn't seem to lean out (ie go towards 10.5) with more boost but I've never paid that much attention to it. It would seem like boost referenced would make the target PE more specific since the fuel flow from the injector would be constant the whole time then. The fact the AFR is relatively consistent in that window already despite not being boost referenced actually seems kind of odd, youd think it'd lean out without boost referenced. I might have to test that.

    I have the Five-O true 750s.

    100%
I'd have to find a safe place to see what mine's does more consistently, it's a bit of a gamble running WOT tests. We really only have two roads through the valley. :spy:

What’s everyone seeing for boost on the smaller pulleys? Are we saying 10psi is probably the threshold

I have seen 9.9 on the 2.3 without proper fueling. We'll see tomorrow on the dyno what I have.

    Actually, it's not 2.3...

10ish max for me with stock exhaust and magnuson intake box. Also, I know you can order the Whipple powder coated almost any color you want, so you better be getting gold. o_O

No, but we also weren't even done tuning the truck before it got hit. S/c was barely on and running for a month.

I'll say it again, any supercharger will blow up your engine just fine. You should link your truck or build the engine instead of buying every supercharger just to boost the truck to the same power level as you already had :D

I'm justifying the LX as it can still tow the trailer with the jeep on it, and haul the dogs around.

Already got the sick car aspect covered

Bad cats were f'ing me left and right and no one could figure it out (ProSpeed, my shop, etc). Only Matt Smith finally came to the rescue and pinpointed it from halfway across the country.

Ah, couldn't remember the timeline. My starting issue has been pretty much from day one after the injector swap, so I'd guess that if you didn't experience it within the first month, you probably weren't affected. I'm just experimenting one weekend at a time limiting myself to a half a tank per though.:rofl::spending:

They're awful sweet looking, but I'm not sure that pretty is the solution here. If I can fix it, then that tact may be more persuasive .
