Hello Im new here and in hopes someone can help me with an issue I’m having.
I recently installed my magnuson supercharger on my 2016 tundra. I followed the instructions methodically.

After install and and tune everything thing was good for the first day of driving (4 hours). No issues ,engine sounded good etc.

The issue came the next day . After eating out I got in my truck turned it on and started driving it and at about 1500 rpm it just shut off. It would show a check engine light but never save the code. I can then turn off the truck turn it back on and it starts right up. Just shuts off at 1500 rpm every time .Dash stayed on radio etc but the engine stalls.
It continued to do this to present day. Also I had aftermarket headlights on. When I would turn them on the engine would shut off . I switched back to the oem and it doesn’t do that anymore.

I took it to Toyota in hopes they could find an issue . They told me they don’t know what’s going on.

took it to the tuner shop and he plugged into the obd2 and told me he didn’t see anything going on. Drove it with him when it stalled and he told me he still didn’t see any issue.

I’m kinda stuck here as no one can help me . If anyone has any potential fixes I would greatly appreciate it.

Just SWAG, but sounds like it is a fuel supply issue. If original pump, getting kinda old and the screen could be too clogged to meet the demand. Also these trucks have a variable speed module controlled fuel pump and it could be that there is a problem with the module or pump. Then you have the air fuel mixture sensors upstream from the cats to tell the computer how to adjust the fuel supply that could also present problems. Just a all around complex system. You might also want to spray some bursts of starting fluid in the engine bay at idle to test for a vacuum leak to try and eliminate that. Maybe a decent code reader in live data mode could help you see what exactly is going on when it stalls.

Thank you . I will start digging into that. I was concerned it might be something with the fuel pump.

I’m curious what the codes were.

That’s one of my issues is it will show the check engine light. But it won’t store or show any code

I agree on the fuel pump suspicion, and maybe checking every electrical connector you can find in the engine bay in case you accidentally tugged on something while rummaging under the hood and loosened anything, including wires that would be pinned in connectors.

    What year is your truck?

I would go through all the wiring you/they touched during the install. Unplug every single connection, inspect the plugs and see if any pins are pushed back or bent.

The fact you have weird issues from the previous headlights is very odd too. Makes me wonder if the wiring got chewed up somewhere and that issue is related. Especially if the truck was fine for a few days and then abruptly started having issues.

Definitely double check the IGN fuse that the Magnuson uses to piggyback the intercooler pump on. I cut off and redid that lead because the provided one is pretty janky imo
