I had big paw prints all over every plastic cover in my engine bay last Fall. Definitely a squirrel.

No damage, at least that I can tell, yet.

Squirrels are assholes, right beside the engineers that approved edible wiring.

I put a stick of rat poison on my engine cover, whether or not it will work, I dont know but my hope is they go and eat the poison before my wires.

It wasn't engineers. It was greenie tree huggers that forced the change from a petroleum based plastic to the tasty stuff.

Bastages! I had squirrels, too, but all they got was my firewall insulation. I set up rat traps baited with peanut butter behind the front wheels (figuring that's how they get in) and got 3 or 4. I haven't had any issues lately, but I also spray bitter apple around the engine bay occasionally (squirrels don't like it).

Double trouble for rabbits, squirrels, voles, mice, and snakes.

Growing up we had a cat that would eat the rabbits head, but leave the ears and body exactly how they would be if the head was still there, and do all of this on the back porch, and of course bring us dead lizards

The owls/hawks rip the heads off prey around here. Our chickens kill/eat most of the mice.

Chickens are savages!!!! We love throwing bugs and grubs in their cage, and just watching them graze is cool to see.

I found a squirrel nest inside my spare tire cover a few weeks ago when I had to change a flat on the camper. No squirrels were in it. They can be destructive. 8D5CBADA-F6AF-4DE9-8154-DBFC89DC0A46.jpg

Luckily I've never opened my hood and been met with such a discovery. It could very well be the 11 feral cats we feed.....

If I had a squirrel do that to my truck there would be no squirrels near my house

Same thing happened to me 3 years ago, I was doing OTR trucking for long periods so I wasn’t home often. A bunch of squirrels decided to nest in my engine, chewed everything up. Cost me like 3k.
