Hello everyone. Just wanted input and pics before I charged the card for rims and tires. I have Bilstiens set at 1.9 and I am looking to purchase +25 wheels with 285/70/18 Nitto Grapplers. Any issues with this setup...rub, trim, chop etc. Thanks in advance...any pics would be awesome as well!!

I've got 285/75/17 (same diameter and width as the 18's you asked about) on +25 offset 17" wheels. I've got 6112's at 1.9 with 1 CB shim on both sides. I had to remove the front mud flaps and install coachbuilder bumper shims to keep from rubbing.

I'd run either 275/70/18 or 295/70/18. You'll have A LOT more choices at those two sizes than the 285 width.

Here are pics with 275/70/18's (33.2") on Method NV's (+25 offset) and Ridge Grapplers. I'm running Bilstein 5100's @ top setting (2.2") and have ZERO rubbing on anything (still have mud flaps, didn't have to bend plastic, nothing). Going another 10mm wider and 33.7" tall might rub some (barely if any), but not as much as a 295/70/18 which is still minor (it's workable).

    Stick out:

I have 6112’s set at 1.9 on front and 5100’s on rear no lift the rear sets 1/4 “ higher. I had to remove the little flap on the front of wheel, trim front mud flaps I still have a slight rub on the front of the liner but nothing really to worry about I’ll probably add the coach builder bumper shims later or use the heat gun. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. I can deal with "plastic" rubs and trimming, I just don't want any rubs on frame or body. Thanks for pics as well!

No you should be good all I had was all minor rubs if your still looking at tires check out the Yokohama Geolander MT’s I’ve only got about 4000 miles on mine but they ride good and don’t even look like they are wearing at all. The tire does excellent in the mud and fields if your off road much.

Thanks, this is helpful. I was talking at Discount Tire about some 285 Ko2s. Thinking about it...

    Alot of them
The KO2s are gravel magnets. You would be happier with Ridge Grapplers.
