Your better off searching cars.com or autotrader.com. Toyota wants you to work with your local dealer.

How long did you wait? I put a deposit 11/6/21 on a Platinum CMLB in wind chill. Still waiting.

Cars.com and autotrader are owned by the same company and not all dealers advertise there. Try Cargurus and do a dealer search at https://www.toyota.com/dealers/

The dealer search lets you find all dealers in a given state and area and has web links for most. Caveat is that some dealers let stock linger on their site after sale, which is true for the listing sites as well. .

Not all dealers keep that inventory list up to date. Most I check here and round Montana have vehicles on there are are already sold and gone from the lot. I think they leave them there so they can get your contact info for the next round of allocations. Yes, sold and gone, I verified that with a couple slaesmen, that's why I ended up going out of state.

I have always had GMC trucks in the past, this is my first Tundra, but when the dealer offered $22,000 my 2014 Sierra with 96,000 miles on it after much research I ordered my Tundra in June 2022 and finally got it in September and I am in love

Huh, seeing these 3rd gens next to each other, I am liking the Tundra's frontend than the Sequoia's.

This is absolutely perfect stance/poke. I'm surprised its this much from a +1 offset.
Maybe because its a 9" wide wheel? Not sure. Looks amazing though.

Do that comparison in any color other than black and the Tundra looks ridiculous compared to the svelte non-'stace front of the Sequoia.

Not for me, I like the Tundra. It kind of reminds me of my 5th gen 4R. To each his own, right?

I could do without the brushed aluminum grille on mine, but I also don’t want to part ways with $800+ to get the body-colored pieces. Maybe I’ll try my luck at vinyl wrap when it gets warmer here.

That frontend looks great with the heritage grille and the color-matched grille surround.

After almost 10 months after putting a deposit on a Lunar Rock Limited TRD OR 5.5' bed and with nothing in sight for the near future (last month I was told March / April and just now that that's off the table) I have a chance to jump on Black Limited TRD OR 6.5' bed with ETA early May. Not sure if I want to pull the trigger :monocle:

We did the same thing with the Lunar Rock and waited with no end in sight then we happened across a black limited crewmax 6.5 and we took it. We really like the truck and have no regrets. The bigger box is nicer than we thought it would be.

We realized that we would never see the lunar rock as we haven’t seen one in our area yet.

Exact same story here, Lunar Rock on order until one day the phone rang with a more immediate alternative. I am about to go pick this beauty up in the morning, and I’m as excited as a person can get. Forgot about Lunar Rock real quick the first time I gazed into the galactic abyss of Midnight Black. It’s got purple and blue flakes in it… What more can I say.

It's funny that in our 3 cases we ended up with black! A work buddy picked up a Lunar Rock Taco about the same time that we got the black. I think there were more black ones than lunar ones produced which could be why we are seeing this.

I am going to put some Adam's graphene coating on mine when the weather warms up. I want to protect the paint and make the sparkles pop!

    It is, right?
I don't blame my original salesman (I was told 5-6 months when I put a deposit down) for not delivering truck within promised timeframe. At the same time he can't blame me for walking away if I find it somewhere else. The only problem I see it was never mentioned that deposit of $1500 was non-refundable until months later. But I don't think they will make a problem with refunding it. I am up for a fight if they do.
I just spoke with the Black Limited TRD dealer this morning and I will give it a shot.

Our first dealership (the Lunar Rock one) had no idea what was going on with allocation after 6 months. Then we found our Black one at another dealer. Once we drove the truck off the lot, we went back to the other dealer and simply got our deposit back. There was no argument from them. I think because there was nothing allocated to us, it was pretty easy. This dealership has since had a few different color/trim trucks come in but never reached out to us to see if we were interested, seems like they are just letting the trucks sell themselves.

I am not really sure how everything works here in Canada. By allocations you mean when the dealer knows the ETA? If that's the case then yeah, my salesman has no clue. Nothing. He wouldn't even tell me how long before the ETA he would know about it.
