seat belt buckle on 2004 tundra double cab

i need to replace seat buckle on 2004 tundra double cab. Was chewed by dog, anyone have any info?

 

I can pull a part number, but you need to give more info.

Like, what trim level is your truck, which engine & drivetrain, which interior color, and be more clear on which buckle part it is (receiver or latch).

The first couple in that list will help narrow it down. but really, you could probably just call the dealership to get a more-direct answer, or look up the part yourself @ Toyota's site using these instructions/tips - if you do that, plug in your VIN, pay attention to the part notes, you should be able to find it no problem.

But your best bet cost-wise is probably a junkyard.

 

I have purchased buckle. Do you need to remove seat to replace buckle. Is there an easy way of removing cover over seat belt buckle mount?

 

Not 100% sure, still not sure if you're working on the receiver end or the buckle end.

If it's the receiver end, the short tether that comes up from the tranny hump, need to know if you're bench seat or captains chairs. Driver side or passenger side? Front seats or rear seats?

Not trying to be difficult, you're just not giving enough info here.

On my access cab truck with captain's chairs, when I had to do pull the seat and seat belt tether for audio stuff, I removed the negative battery cables before starting because there's an airbag/SRS sensor tied to the seat. I pulled the seat. But I don't remember there being anything abnormal or difficult about pulling the bolt, which I think was, like, 16mm or something? If there was a plastic cover, it just flipped up or popped off.

 

My truck has bucket seats. i need to change the female end which fastens on side of seat or transmission hump , as dog has chewed the female release button. There appears to be a cover over them with counter suck bolt that i can not get at because of there being little room between seat and console. Seems like a lot to remove seat to get at the cover over the seat belt.

 

I agree, it probably does seem like a lot of work. I had to pull my seat anyway, so I guess I didn't notice. You must be talking about the driver's side, I only have experience with the passenger side. It may be different between power seat and non-power seat also.

Anyway ... This video is for an Access Cab, but may help you if it's the driver seat you're dealing with. Let us know. Looks like a pain in the ass for driver's side.

It's not too bad of a job !
This is my 04 DC LTD which should be similar or exact !
1) Snap that plastic piece out of way
2) Push on seat cushion to access phillips screw
3) Back seat, remove screw
You can then get to either a 13 or 14 MM bolt to remove reseptacle
