Got this project done today and it works well. It is a 2-part design with a backer piece that goes behind the lower grille slit. This piece has captured nuts that you bolt the main bracket to. The main bracket piece also has captured nuts that you then bolt the license plate to. It is a little tricky getting that backer piece in there and flipped up, especially if you have big hands like me, but it is doable from the front. Slide it in from the left and use the wire bundles to keep it from falling as you flip it up and slide it to the center. Once you get one of the 2" main bracket screws started you are golden. You don't have to print it in orange like I did, but that's what I had on the printer, and I kind of like it. Enjoy.

We do in BC and I refuse to drill that front bumper. Only 4 of the 13 provinces/territories still use them, so unless 5-O is going to start nailing every Albertan in BC, which is about every 3rd car in the summer, I consider it a non issue.
It such outdated logic " assist in finding stolen vehicles " .....come on, my app tells me where the truck is.

Front plates are ridiculous. And yeah, even here in MD it isn't likely you'll get pulled for this. But it doesn't hurt to stay as far off the radar as possible.

I am not making or selling these so there are no options, per se, unless you develop one for yourself. I used this frame for my front plate install with this bracket. Makes for a very nice and unobtrusive installation.

IIRC you printed yours in ABS... remind me what printer do you have? My main printer these days is a Prusa mk3S+ which is an open frame design so doesn't do well with ABS. So, I generally use PETG for these sorts of things but want to be able to do ABS or even nylon in the future.

Mine is nothing special, just an Ender 3 with a few upgrades. I do have the Creality enclosure though, which is pretty much a necessity if you want to print ABS. I tried originally without and enclosure and it’s almost impossible to keep things from warping. The Ender 3 prints ABS well, finished prints typically look even better than PLA. I would also like to try nylon or PC, but that would require an all-metal hot end. I’ll likely pick up another printer sooner or later and then I can outfit one specifically for the specialty filaments. Don’t really want to touch the Ender 3 as that thing is a workhorse and I have it really dialed in.

Here’s a quick pic of your bracket that I printed. This printer just lays down ABS very well.

Thanks for the design Raylo - I sent it to a local printer here in Colorado Springs. He is printing a couple for me, flat black (75% infill with 4 walls in PETg). I ordered them a few days ago because there was no bracket on the truck (in the pics) that I picked up today - a 2022 Tundra Limited TRD... Well, CarHax installed a OEM license plate bracket on the front before I even saw the truck. Anyhoooo.... Now I have 2 of these printed. Flat black (pick up later next week). If anyone wants one, let me know - I will pay $25 each to the printer - I will sell for the same price plus some shipping (if needed). CO addresses preferred, we could even meet somewhere near The Springs. Let me know if anyone is interested - I am standing by.

Front plates are DUMB. And that's coming from a guy who's literal job is traffic enforcement.

My state ( Colorado) requires a front plate. I actually got pulled over in Kansas for not having one on my RV. Kansas doesn’t require them, but apparently they can enforce other state’s requirements. I found that strange.

My 2023 1794 came with a bracket for the front plate.
