Choice between the REadyLift plus2, coachbuilder, or Westcott Designs?

They’re not wrong and it’s not a sales pitch. Fox recommends the shocks/struts that come on the Pros be rebuilt at 50k miles. If you’re interested, I know a guy from my days on TacomaWorld that rebuild them that I can connect you with.

Ok, Zr2 Meteor looks nice. There’s definitely a lot of Chevy enthusiast. I’ve never rode in a lifted Chevy that rode good. Nowadays there’s more lift options out here. Well hopefully you figure it out and keep your PRO. Well adding the additional 2” to sit at 4” I think it’s perfect. That’s were I’m at and I enjoy the ride and it’s definitely noticeable. Many complements daily. Good luck!

 

If I went zr2 I’d leave alone and not lift. It has enough for my liking. Sits better than my stock TRD pro, I think. I’ve never owned a Chevy. My father in law worked for GM for 40 years and I just never could bring myself to get one. DESPISED their interiors.

this refreshed interior and lift on the zr2 looks perfect to me. Who knows about longevity? Always seems like a crapshoot with them. But the gen 3 Tundra feels the same to me right now as well.

 

I said it in another thread but there’s a reason Chevrolet stands for Cracked Heads Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Engine Ticks. I wrenched professionally for over a decade with my best friend. I wanted to like domestics, I tried to like domestics, but on a daily basis we had domestics failing state safety inspections for all sorts of things, it was more common to have a fail than a pass if the vehicle has 35k or higher. On the other hand, it was only on extremely rare connections for Toyotas to fail state safety inspections with less than 120k. I left auto mechanics about 6 years ago, I’m now an engineer for a big aviation company, but he still does. He’s constantly sending me pictures and telling me stories of Chevy’s having major issues at absurdly low mileages. I’ve rented several new Chevys and they drive very nice, I enjoy driving them. I also think the Trail Boss and AT4’s are very sharp looking trucks. I just can’t help feel like it’s a ticking time bomb though. Now with Chevy moving away from the LS series V8’s, there’s absolutely no reason to own one.

As for the 3rd Gen Tundras, I strongly dislike them. I like all the new interior tech and the boxes frame, but I hate the exterior styling and most of all, the new engine. That’s why I bought a brand new 2021 after the 2022’s were released.

 

Read all 7 pages of this thread. Unfortunately, I have no answer as to which is better, ReadyLift, Coach Builder or Westcott. The majority seem to have picked a blend of Westcott front and CB shackles rear. ReadyLift comes in second with satisfied customers. They all seem to keep the ride the same but give you enough height to increase tire size, mostly for look and stance. Didn’t get much on trail riding and increase clearance helping on more difficult rides. I did go to CB website and read about full motion with no need for bump stops. Seemed like the better design all around, but very few went with all CB TRD Pro kit. However, even reading all the good about Westcott, I’m leaning toward the Coach Builder. I love the pics, the stance is definitely better and I agree that the Tundra should come off the line like this, or at least sell it that way, giving the buyer a choice in looks or fuel mileage. I happen to love it the way it is, however, I’ve driven an F250 lifted for years and am struggling with sitting this low to the ground. Doesn’t feel like a truck to me.

 

Phi nice truck but another 2”-3” would definitely give you the height and still give you the stock ride! I enjoy my TRD PRO.

Ordered a set. Until I saw this I preferred Westcott but the Eibachs don't need that 1/2 inch spacer, it's all spring. Glad I was dragging my feet on lifting the front. I'm really excited to get these on.

For rear I ordered OME Dakar leafs to replace blocks I had on the rear (such a bad idea what was I thinking). topper+prinsu+250lbs of woof makes my rear sag on stock setup.

I'll post results when it's all setup.

Try driving the new (22-23) Tundra! Talk about a truck that doesn’t feel like a truck. It feels and sounds just like a minivan! I had one as a loaner when mine was in at the dealer getting an alignment. I hated it. The rear end bounced back so hard after hitting bumps that the tailgate would rattle from the slam. It sits really low, the engine has zero power until 3k rpms, and it just feels cheap. That engine sound is the worst though, it’s amazing how much more appealing the sound of a V8 and the low end torque adds to the driving experience. The new one is faster once the turbo spools, but like you said, it doesn’t feel like a truck.

Eibach Springs
285/75R18 Duratracs (35x11.2)
NO UCA, aligned just fine

The Eibachs are 650lb springs vs the Fox's 600 and ride nicer.

Eibach Springs + OME Leafs is a zero spacer lift option for the Pro Shocks. Westscott, Coachbuilder, and ReadyLift are all spacer lifts.

Has about a 1" rear rake which I like because it levels out when my dogs are in the back.

 

I bought a SPC uca, still contemplating if I would use this for the Eibach spring lift. I would just sell the SPC if I could get away without it. What made you not use any UCA mate?

 

I didn't worry about rubbing because I'm running 285/75s which are 35x11, if I was going to run 35x12.5 I would have. Shop said there was no problem aligning, was easy for them.

That turned out really nice! If I already didn’t have the Westcott lift on mine I would have gone with the Eibach springs.

 

How much more of a lift did you end up getting after the eibach springs and do you have hub to fender measurements by chance??

I put Eibach springs, +3 coachbuilder shackles, SPC UCA, coachbuilder steering kit and wheeler super bumps on my trd pro. Love it. I too was sold on the westcott lift until I found these. The UCA and steering kit are not a must but from the research I did I found out you would be close to not being in spec after alignment. So, just did it. May have been sold up on more parts but I don’t think so. The ride is incredible.

 

Front driver and passenger is 24 1/4in
Rear driver and passenger is 26in (w/ OME springs)
