    Hmm. I suppose another option to compromise would be a real good all season/all terrain. I know there are some ATs that tend to perform well in the winter like Cooper Discover XLTs, Nokian makes good ATs like the Rotiva and Outpost, and many people say Falken AT3s are great in the winter as well (again, no idea of load ratings lol)

    I have been considering something with a better bite for sure. I have tried the Cooper XLT's and those were shit (overall).

    Orrrrr....I could just get my ass out of the truck and install the emergency strap chains...but I don't wanna...:facepalm:

    Exactly!!! I just like being lazy and bitch about it online. LOL!! Actually the strap chains are pretty easy to install and remove. The only reason I spent a couple hours clearing out the road to the back part of the property is so I don't slide into my fence again (did it with the tractor).

    Been looking at these tires. Only thing that sucks is these don't come in 265/70/18 and would have to step up to a 275.

    These are also a consideration. I have heard all the horror stories and had them on my Tundra. They were heavy, but lasted a long time and traction was good.

    I like checking out Tire Rack and all the tire testing on closed courses. From their testing...hard to beat.

    On my car's I run Firestone Winter force in the winter and they have always been great. But as far as a Winter tire for a truck not sure since my 4x4's set in a heated garage all winter. Lol
