Seven days start to finish and done alone. I also would stop work once the kids got home from school which slowed me down. If I were left alone in the house I probably could have shave a day or two off of that.

Have a look at these brands as well. Miele, Thermador, GE Profile. Depending on your area, I usually goto the appliance store that caters to builders. They are constantly updating appliances and you can get a great deal off a showroom item that is being pulled out. As well, asking if they have anything in their warehouse inventory that is discounted. Through the years I managed to pick up a really really nice applainces at super discounted pricing. This past fall, I picked up a Bosch built-in fridge column and freezer column. Electrolux large capacity steam washer and dryer-2 sets. Wolfe 48" range. All for a hefty 60% discount. The thing that most people don't realize is, showroom pieces aren't used, unless they were used in a cooking class. Warranties commence for them as soon as they're sold to you.

I agree with new supply lines with new appliances however the hot water supply line for the dishwasher is already braided steel and was installed new when we repiped our house back in feb of this year. The discharge lines are all new that come with the dishwasher except for the rubber piece connecting the air gap at my sink to the garbage disposal. Its a firm black rubber hose similar to a radiator hose, I dont think that needs to be replaced, but it did need to be cleaned thoroughly.

I've started a new criteria for buying items, I don't by an appliance from a cell phone manufacturer and I don't by a cell phone from an appliance manufacturer.
We had a NICE LG Fridge but the compressor kept failing, had it replaced once and the warranty ended and that was it. Sporting a Frigidaire now.

Floor tiling over the moved toilet drain. I suck at precise work like this. Wife says no toe catchers is good enough.

I have similar cabinet doors. Going to sandblast prime and repaint. First time didnt know what I was doing (almost 20 years ago) lots of paint chipping away. Any suggestions or types of primer paint, maybe clear coat/hardener?
Did put in led under cabinet lighting kit. $20 works nicely

Nice! Dig the LEDs. Our company uses a lacquer based primer and finish coat. We only clear coat if we’re staining. It’s sprayed with a lacquer sprayer, but can be sprayed with a cup gun. My cabinets I did myself, but stayed relatively inexpensive because I’m a renter. I used Behr Ultra paint, and went with Swiss Coffee to match the doors, trim, and ceiling.

Woke up to no power on furnace
Troubleshot all I could and gave up.
Phoned an HVAC friend / neighbor who came by.
Found a wire came loose from a wirenut in the furnace and burnt several wires. Stripped wires, new wire nuts and added electrical tape
Lesson being- use electrical tape after securing them. Wirenut is not good enough. House could have caught fire

Nothing major but we moved from a custom home with oversized 2.5 car garage to a home built in 1994 so needles to say we needed some storage. Built some shelves over the last few days (forgive the mess as I still need to clean and organize better).

We have one and it's so quiet you don't know it's on (it has a red light it shines on the floor to let you know it's running). Things come out of it spotless.

Been seeing some mold pop up in our master bathroom. Really dusty in there too. I never could figure out the dust. The bathroom exhaust fan vents to an unfinished part of our attic (built in 1895). I found a steal on a bathroom fan at Lowes and thought about switching it out with the existing fan. I went up into the attic yesterday to see what size vent it had. Turns out it had no vent. Whomever installed it, basically cut a hole in the ceiling, attached the fan, and called it a day. The exhaust port was blowing into insulation.

I'm going to replace the entire unit and run the exhaust hose to a vent I'm going to cut into the soffit. Tonight though, I put a hose on it and ran it out of the insulation - it's running better than ever.

I also found a dead rat. Today was a good day. :)

Small lil changes. Had a full motion mount that we didn't really use anymore to its full effect. So flat on the wall with slight tilt. Also put slightly higher to be able to put picture frames on the mantle and all. (Outlet will be covered/hidden). @Outbound pointed out what I already knew on the last mount, and that the TV was crooked:(....so this pushed me to straighten it out.
    20230101_182826.jpg
We also picked up a small 32" TV and new organizers by our area. The TV will be setup to display our shared calendars for us and the kids. We use timetree on our phone now. But it's not compatible so we'll be switching to Google calendar. With 4 kids and both of us working busy/demanding jobs, organization is important. This will help I'm sure for all of us as a family.

FYI for you guys looking at new dishwashers. Be mindful the schemes they use. When it lists the db level that rating is a reading of the AVERAGE db over a cycle, which is probably the quick or half load cycle. Just an fyi.

Yeah, I guess it was leftover from when I had a rat infestation in 2020 or 21. They never breached the living area, fortunately. This one was behind the air handler. Thought there was a funk in the air in there…

Looking for high quality universal door latch internals.
Apparently my kids like to swing from the door handles and deform the mild steel.
    Existing hardware is Baldwin.
