Imagine being the test pilot and being told that was expected.

Kinda like the U2 pilots. "You mean I take off with 4 wheels, and land with 2. Every time???"

Respect to test pilots and every single person that has served.

I have read more than a little about the SR-71, and the CIA counterpart and fore-runner, the A-12. The fuel the aircraft burned was JP7 which is not easily ignited. You can throw a burning rag on it and it won’t ignite. It required a pre-combustion atomized addition TEB (trietythlborane) in order to facilitate initial light off. As well as re-heat (after burner). There is probably more written about it than most people at care to sit through. Perhaps my favorite youtube is this Brian Schul talk. Hope ya’ll enjoy.

Same. There was far more salt than snow on the roads in the Midwest. My truck is covered in it. Look at this. I feel a-salted. :D

It was stupid expensive but very happy. I think it's better than grabbing the steering wheel to get in and out. Especially when some dink parks close at the mall.

2nd Gen had a grab handle on the driver's side A pillar just like on the passenger side - and on the passenger side of 2.5 Gen. Many of us have added it to the 2.5 Gen.

Look at the parts list on Sparks Toyota and order the parts only getting the hardware at your favorite hardware store.

Recently Toyota is out of the A pillar piece increasing the price. You may want to try and locate on eBay.

Christmas Eve was Rotundras third birthday as I purchased her on December 24, 2019, drove off the lot with six miles on the clock. Three years later and she now has all of 12,636 miles on her. Of course, she's not our only vehicle and I do work out of the country for at least seven months a year. I've had ZERO issues with this truck since the day I bought it (hoping not to jinx it by stating that). I've done a lot of "modding" to make it the way I like it and enjoyed doing 99% of the work myself. We've enjoyed her camping in National Parks, up in the Blue Ridge mountains, beaches and forest service trails all over Florida. I've used her to haul my kayaks to just about every stream and river within 250 miles of home. I've trailered my dirt bikes to Croom and other trails many times with my son. I've been setting her up as an "adventure rig" or "weekendlander" in anticipation of my impending retirement coming this year. I've got her just about like I want, but still have a couple of mods left on my list. (Please don't tell the CFO) I'm not sure that ever ends, especially if you frequent this forum much. I appreciate all the knowledge I've gleaned reading the posts here from other members, and heavily researched every modification I made prior to ordering or installing the parts. I love this truck and I'm happy with the choice I made at purchase, no regrets. Best of all, she's paid for and will hopefully be around for a long time.

Merry Christmas everyone, may you find peace and joy in your life.

This is a fairly recent pic, as I'm overseas now as usual.
