So I bought a backup camera system (Pyle PLCM7500) for my new travel trailer and I want to be able to use my JBL Navigation system as the monitor. I would like to be able to turn off the trucks camera when I'm towing and turn on the camera on the trailer when I put the truck in reverse. Can someone help me with this?

After some research I could not find anything where you could use the truck display for anything else. Did not want to screw with it so I bought a wifi camera for the back of my RV. Trailer hooked up to the truck charges the trailer battery, trailer battery powers the camera and the wifi unit, wifi transmits the video where I can connect to it in my cab with my iPad mini and I use it as the camera display while going down the road. Everything is continuously powered.

I can toggle back and forth on the min and use the nav and all of my other apps and have a look see behind the trailer when ever I want.

I will post up the links in a little while to the gear I bought. Got the camera and wifi off of Amazon. Think that it was less than 60 bucks for everything.

Ok, I just found your camera. It looks like you would need the RCA extension. Great idea to use your existing display for both but I don't know if you can tap into your display or not. Id be afraid of jacking with that as I am finding out that these trucks are very sensitive to any kind of electrical mods. I went with the wifi system so that I didn't have the wire connection between the truck and trailer to mess with..

I have not seen it. I figured since I was using my iPad for navigation, radar, and my aviation weather anyway might as well use it for the RV cam and not mess with tapping into my truck screen.
