How hard is it to get those two pieces off that you put your buttons in on both sides of the radio? I’ve taken mine apart and taken the radio out to instal a Rago dash mount but haven’t gone past that. I want to wrap those two pieces.

Those "two pieces" are actually one big U with the hidden state of Texas underneath. It is really fairly easy. I replaced mine with the black version.

Tried to fit the Tundra inside Reward Mine off Highway 395. It was too close for comfort so I decided not to. Fun, short trail getting up there.

I didn’t know there is a black version option. Do you happen to have a link? That would be a lot easier than wrapping them.

Fuel light came on for the first time... I now know it takes 30 gallons to fill-up when the fuel light comes on... so 8 gallon reserve for fuel pump cooling...

    20221115_063248.jpg

So does anyone know how much of the reserve we can use before it affects the fuel pump

Thanks- install was straight forward. Pain in the ass to remove the factory light. Be sure you have a riv nut tool. I added more sealing around the light black rtv since I live in the pnw. Awesome quality unit love the look and functionality.

I flipped both my spares for easier access to air them up. I usually hit all the vehicles each season ~ weather change.

From other threads I've read people pushing 25+ miles past the 0 Miles remaining/warning light and iirc the most I've seen someone state filling up was 33gal or so. Now whether that will have an affect on the fuel pump idk, not something I am going to test.

That will depend on how much debris is in your gas tank, which will depend on several factors, the biggest of which is the age of the truck. The older your truck gets, the more debris finds its way into the tank.

One more install note. No need to pull the whole headliner. Only need to undo the back and run the wires across and down.

Ready for hunting season. Steep and Cheep has killer deals on these Stoic double self-inflating mattresses and sleeping bags. Width is perfect just waiting on TopperTent to get their sh!t together and make a fullsize version that zips into the softopper.

No, that's just a sleeping bag. I was looking at that tent setup but the topper tent version stays attached to the interior zipper and rolls up inside. I reached out to one of the reps and they're apparently making one but not until next quarter.

Not sure about affecting fuel pump, but I typically get 32 gallons into my tank if I wait for the light to actually come on.
