I'm shopping for a Regular Cab 2nd Gen ('07+) Tundra and finding some decent options with the solid rear window, but really want a slider back there for access to the camper I'm planning to build in the bed. Found one other thread addressing this question but it's not clear if it was resolved, and I didn't get a response there. I know Breezer makes a replacement window that opens fully, but I've read a number of folks who are unhappy with the quality. Would prefer to use OEM parts, or at least a reasonable approximation. I was even told by a large Toyota dealership that they couldn't swap the window and had never heard of it being done before.

Has anyone replaced their solid rear window with a manual slider? If so, can you point me toward a build thread, or share any info about your process?

There is a different thread than the one that you linked. I'll see if I can find it. It was done on a 2.5 gen. It will be a couple grand though.

I missed the manual slider but here is a thread for the power slider.

Thanks @Tundra234. I'm hoping it should be a much simpler, and cheaper, process to swap to a manual slider (like this).

Anyone out there seen it done?
