    I don't drive in deep water, but I did install an elevated breather that runs the check valve up to one of the bed stiffener rails!

    Too many, but not enough....
    The top cone should technically be up against the head of the bolt but I've never seen it matter before

    Tundras tend to have the drain and fill plugs overly tight. So make sure you can break free the fill plug first. The Valvoline squeeze “bags” for gear oil are nice if you don’t have a gear oil pump to get all the fluid in the hole. The plastic containers are hard to get the last bit out. Also a dab of black rtv gasket maker on the threads of the drain and fill plug will ensure it won’t drip and leak for piece of mind.

    The transfer case uses a 75w GL-4 oil. The only one I have found is Redline MT-LV.

    Its one of the easiest fluids to change on these trucks and its cheap. Just do it. If you're lifted its even easier. I just roll under on my creeper and can squeeze the Mobil1 bottles in without any trouble. No pumps or tubing needed.

    Just pulled the rear diff plug and found 4 very thin shavings on the drain plug. Can easily bend them, not a stiff piece of metal. Anyone seen this on their drain plug before. Has zero noises and no driving issues at time of change. Truck has 42k miles.
