Very cool photo, do you mind sharing the offset of those wheels? They appear to be the Method 305 but I can't quite tell the color either.

This was news to me as well. I had heard about troubles with 2 piece lugs, but not in regards to Toyota. Apparently, this has been a KNOWN issue for years. Toyota officially doesn't replace them under warranty, but my dealership is trying to get a "good will" replacement approved. I still haven't heard back from them on if it has gone through or not.

From the limited searching I've done, I have heard that Gorilla makes a good solid replacement. Here is a link to one I found. FWIW... I have know idea if this is a good vendor or not. I can also find Dorman, but I have seen MANY complaints that they turn to rust within 6 months.

Any input from others would be great. I'd like to avoid the spline version lug nuts. I like to keep my tools standard.

I bought these for my wife's Sequoia, no rust or swelling after two years:

A bunch of the reviews on that show rusting. I'm up north and I'm very concerned about that here. I'm guessing you don't have to deal with a large amount of road salt in SC.

That said, I try to avoid buying from Amazon if I can.

Makes total sense. No road salt down here for sure, they use sand when we get snow once in a blue moon. Shut down the schools with only 1/16” accumulation!! Wish they did that when I was going to school in the Poconos!!

That's because the state knows that people don't know how to drive in it. Don't forget that bread and milk become non-existent lol.

I did the same service this past weekend and ended up fouling the threads on one of my lug nuts after removing it. Luckily, I had some security lug nuts that I could use to get back on the road. My local stealership wanted $33 A PIECE for replacements. The Sparks price was more tolerable until they wanted $16 to ship a single lug nut. I ended up getting one from a dealer on Amazon (or at least i hope it is) for $18 with shipping....

We call that the "French toast crowd" at the grocery store. When you see everyone out buying Bread milk and eggs. There is probably a storm coming.

Sparks has good prices on stuff. But shipping is a bitch. Your lucky, I just went to their site and it says it wants to charge me $26.69 to ship ONE lug nut.

    $29.23 if I wanted to buy 16.

That's a big no from me.

I put some aluminum takeoffs on my truck as it came with the stock steelies. So I needed new lugs. The Steelie lugs are different from the aluminum lugs.
I have the Gorilla black lugs on my truck and had to order them through discount tire. I could not order them directly from Gorilla. I can't rember which lug it was but I believe it's listed on their website. If you can't find it I will try and locate it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up for discount tire.

Luckily, I just got the call from the dealer. I'll be heading in this afternoon for replacements. I'll keep an eye out for a deal on solid replacements now that I've got fresh ones.

I'll second Gorilla nuts. (Heh.) My previous truck ('13 F150) had THE WORST lug nuts. Trust me...as bad as you may think Tundra lug nuts are, the F150's were far worse.

I spent like $130 on a replacement set of Gorilla lug nuts and they were awesome.

Finally installed the front camera with the FRAC (front rear anytime camera harness offered here by @TundraTex) harness and a Black Label light bar I'd bought from Custom Offsets years ago and never installed.

What does this button do? Forgot to look in the manual after I found it while installing switch for new light bar. Located on dash below and to the right of the steering wheel, under the bezel plate where tailer brake bias and tow/haul switches located. Never noticed it was there before then. To set preferred "normal" tire pressures?

Removed the extra washer I installed on the TRD RSB that wasn't required, endlinks look more vertical now. Then dropped it off at dealer for an oil change and tire rotation.

I'm really curious on how a button would set a preferred normal tire pressure?
