    Yep, my stock one lasted 18 months and was coming up on 2.5 years on the replacement when it started to die. Put in an X2 AGM and hoping I get some decent life out of it.

    It's weird. My stock one lasted 6 years and was still testing good. I replaced it because after 6 years I figured I was on borrowed time.

    The only reason I replaced the battery in my car at 8 years was because I left the doors open one night, which killed it.

    Only replaced the battery in my wife's Corolla at about 8 years because it was corroding so badly but the new one is already corroding so that was a waste of money.

    Seems like once you get some corrosion on the terminals/clamps, it's next to impossible to get rid of without replacing the clamps too. Which I need to check on the new battery. Thanks for the reminder.

    Yeah I got mine from Batteries Plus. Not cheap but they have a 4 year warranty. I can’t remember if X2 or Northstar are the preferred brand, but they’re both better than Optima.

    I ended up getting these clamps, hoping it was just the corroded neg terminal giving me issues on the last battery. They’re pretty nice and cheaper than SDHQ. Though I think the SDHQ terminals are a better material.
