I have a set of OPT7 running board led lights just collecting dust.

I would like to install them for the courtesy lights and as well as the nighttime running and turn signal feature. Since I don’t have a turn signal light on my mirrors.

For those of you who have running board lights, how have you wired them? I read some tapped into the trailer harness and some tapped into the front headlights (which sound like a PITA). The courtesy lights just tap into the footwell light right?

You can add turn signals to your mirrors

courtesy can be added to footwell or cargo light

Saw a pic of your side mirror setup. Is it possible to do something like that for a 2015 SR5? Your setup looks clean, it’s just the wiring that confuses me. How’d you tap into power for the puddle light and turn signal on each side?

Im not super happy about my OPT7 running board lights at the moment lol

    I don't see why it's not possible.

You should have turn signal power where the mirror connects to the door.

Here is my parts set up for what I did ~ minus some soldering work.

Mirrors: 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra Adjustable Spotter Mirror - link has the wires to splice / tap. Same can be used for the added turn signals in the front cap. No hyperflash with my set up. Have to drill out the inner mirror for the light and bracket clearance. And a hole for the light itself. The vled website has dimensions of the lights

I ran two set of wiring for the mirror turn and VLED turn. Not needed if that's what you want. You can just run one set of wires and then tap one set to the other inside the mirror to keep from running more wires.

I ran two sets because for a bit I thought about running the front facing set as running lights, but decided to keep them as turn. Might change it later and add a set of running lights, but good for me right now.
