so I have the Kuat NV 2/4 bikes. If 2 bikes, you can tilt down but barely enough to open tailgate. I bought the side folding arm and now it's perfect, I can open tailgate and access without having bikes in the way.
imo best comb is a folding arm and the bike rack mounted on it. 1UP, KUAT and RIGD have it.

As much as I hate working on my mtb, the dirtbiker in me knows the importance of servicing linkage bearings and as the shock was out for a rebuild, I mustered up the motivation to do every single one.
I had no idea the rear triangle was almost fully independent on my Commencal meta AM, this may be a very common design but I do not know much about bikes and thought it was interesting.

This looks pretty cool. I have a Topeak Alien II, so I wouldn't need the tool, but nice that I can put a CO2 can in there as well. Been out of the game for a minute and the highest quality portable accessories I know are Lezyne.

How do you like the Meta AM? I'm eyeballing a new bike so I can compensate more for my lack of... "elegance" with more tire. I'm still on a 160mm 26. I feel like the Meta AM is at a good price/performance. My splurge option is a Guerilla Gravity Gnarvana.

for the price the Meta AM is hard to beat, mine is a 2018 so 27.5”. I should probably have a Meta TR but still ride a few park days a year so was worried about it not keeping up.
Bike is pretty confidence inspiring when heading down the hill and a bit of a pig on the way up but is a true do it all bike. Rear formula hub kind of blows as it does not free wheel very well.
Overall great bike for the $$, which for me is importAnt as mtb’ing is what you make of it, not how much $$ you spend.

Thinking about it more, yeah... GG Gnarvana would be cool, but that's a lot of extra skrilla that could be put to other things I enjoy just as much. I'll have just as much fun on the Meta AM. I'm not a strong climber and I'll pretty much b'hike the majority of climbs regardless of what I'm riding.

Smoke season has descended upon the Reno/Tahoe area. Riding is pretty rough with AQI going above 300 regularly. Best wishes going out to anyone being seriously affected by the multiple large wildfires out west. The mountain outlined is less than 2 miles away from taken location.

No, it’s in south Reno (Galena, White’s Creek, Thomas Creek area). Peavine wasn’t even visible.

I've got a buddy that lives out in Antelope Valley. I haven't been back there in about a year and a half. Need to load up and head over, we ride ( ATVs & SxS ) from his place out to Moon Rocks

Just picked up my first "bike". Does anyone have experience with Harbor Freight's hitch hauler? I need a way to haul the bike to new places.

One last day for the season at Trestle tomorrow. Park closes on the 2nd.

also, put some Ergon GA3s on my and my fiance's bike. We'll see how these grips feel.

Went up and road Mt Hood on Sunday. The Timberline To Town trail is top 10. I still can't decide if I bought a motorcycle or a mountain bike but what an absolute blast either way!

Definitely a lightweight dirt bike. I would have one if I had a place to ride it. Our trails are hike/bike only.

These have been widely excepted on the bike trails and in the bike lanes here. They are so quiet and stealthy they don't cause a disturbance and everyone i have come across has been very intrigued. Every once in a great while I come across a Karen and when I do I just keep riding past. They are much smaller than a dirt bike and have a lot of features of a mountain bike so people just assume its a bike. Even the cops here just give a thumbs up and a smile.

That is definitely an electric motorcycle. The e-bikes (peddle assist electric) are struggling to be legal where I live and often not MTB trail legal many places. Lots of controversy even over e-bikes in the bike community so you will only notice more problems if venturing on non motorized trails. I'm not the electric motorcycle police just letting you know that this is is a hot topic and that is classified as a motorized vehicle.

i tried one last week and they definantly belong on dirt bike trails and not the mtb trails. They make enough power to chew the shit out of trails and as such, should stay on trails that are meant to be chewed the shit out of.
Having said that, they are a blast!
