Hi guys, I'm slowly getting back towards adding on to my 06 tundra, but I'm having some issues with the alignment. Currently I have fox 2.5 extended travel coilovers up front with total chaos upper control arms. There's also some spacers on the wheels right now for clearance issues. I cannot for the life of me get the truck to drive remotely straight. I know the with the changes vie done already imp not going to get perfect steering, but the truck literally coming out of alignment days after it has been in the shop is getting frustrating. What should I swap out/change next? Thank you!

Do you have OEM cam sleeves or aftermarket? Are the cam tabs bent over that the washer presses against? Pics of your specs?

Def check the LCA cams as assassin mentioned.

Check the condition of all your front end suspension and steering components -- inner and outer tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, UCA and LCA bushings, steering rack...

Worn or loose suspension and steering components can cause alignment issues, and it can be more pronounced on modified trucks.

But also, how well do you know/trust your alignment shop? Do they have a good rep? Cause if they are a decent shop, they'd be helping you figure out why it keeps coming out of alignment... I had alignment issues on my vehicles until I stopped using random alignment shops and started using a well-known and respected local alignment shop.

As you guys can see everything is pretty clapped out, obviously replacing oem with better suited parts is the goal. I'm just trying to find out in what order I should go about in the process. I've gone to two shops here in the Meridian/Boise area of Idaho. The last shop was a bunch of guys my age (20-21) and I definitely trusted them at first, but I'm thinking its not all their fault as my parts are under a lot of stress.

The best thing you can give to us: Your current alignment numbers.

Also, are you just having issues getting an alignment that doesn't lead to wander? Or issues with getting into alignment, period? Or are you having issues keeping alignment once set?

I consider @assassin10000 to be an alignment guru. I've seen him time and time tell people these trucks ride best with the following alignment, even though some shops will say it's wrong. Dozens of first gen owners haven't been lead astray with these numbers:

    -0.1 to -0.3 camber
    2.6 to 2.8 caster
0.1 to 0.2 total toe in

Camber -0.1 if mostly freeway driven.
If you like corners/onramps at speed then -0.3 to offset outside edge tire wear somewhat.
    Total toe in 0.15 - 0.20

Ill go get an alignment here soon with those specs. I'm just worried it'll be for nothing and will slip and be back to square one lol.

If your alignment is changing, you need to fix why first.

Again, what do the alignment cams and bolts look like? Are they OEM or aftermarket? How are the control arm bushings? Etc.
