so I am new to forum, I have an 11 with 5.7 with bad rods. I purchased a complete 15 engine, trans, transfer with the wiring. Is it possible to install complete setup or do I have to use the old harness and old style transfer case. I assume the transfer case shifter is better on the newer truck, plus having lower miles.

A guy in the electrical section just did this. It’s far easier to use the old sensors and working harness with the new engine.

The 2014+ trucks are the same except they changed a bunch of the wiring connectors pin order. If you are really good a repinning wiring harnesses you could try to use all new stuff but it would be a lot of work m.
