how is the upshift when you let off the gas? or just letting off the gas at part/light throttle?

 

Any chance of a write up of your install? I'm at the dealership picking my truck up now and have the same radio. I'm curious how you routed the power/antenna lines and where you mounted the radio unit. Your setup looks clean!

You got one? Not sure how to explain it. If I keep my foot on the pedal it's fine but if I let off completely it feels like I'm engine braking and I'm not even in tow mode.

Just installed some seat covers. Overall i’m pretty satisfied. they fit well for the price and look pretty good.

Only had a small issue with the rear seat upper latch mechanism, there wasn’t a hole made like the 40% side. Have an inquiry to the manufacturer.

Those are nice! I installed a similar set for the rear seats so my husky doesn't destroy them. Hesitant on the front cause I have seat fans. Do you have em and if so can you still feel it?

 

I do not have seat fans, just basic cloth seats. i think there are multiple layers to the covers. not sure air would penetrate.

 

@omglas3r do you have ventilated seats? I'm trying to find decent covers that don't block the ventilation.

Thanks for sharing pics. Curious to know how it has held up for you, especially on the composite bed portion at the bottom. I tried one of the various brands and it would not stick good enough. If it worked, please share your process to get it to stick and what you used.

 

These look great! How hard was the install???

 

On a scale of 1-10 (10 be difficult), I'd say it was a 3. The hardest part was shoving the cover in between the top and lower seat cushions on the front. The back seat was a breeze.

It was also 95 degrees outside with 70% humidity here in AL... so that didnt help.

 

Sounds like the kind of install I can do lol

 

Do you still feel the cooling/heat from the seats?

 

I don't have cooling/heat in my seats.

They are perforated at the seat and seat back. However there is also a foam layer under the outmost layer of the cover. Not sure how permeable that foam is.

 

Sorry for the late reply, believe it or not they all are on and adhered well. I cleaned the surface really well, I think prep and a solid surface for it to stick to is key.

I had my seats upgraded recently, leather came for Cali. My dealer had a local company install for me. Also, see the little button, that for the heater, got the front seats heated.

 

I installed the CBI Covert front bumper.

I think they're still working out the kinks. I am also troubleshooting on my end as to why I'm getting these jolts in acceleration. Another tester advised me that after the latest recall fixed that. So I am taking my truck in to the dealer to take care of that tomorrow and see.

 

Man that Covert bumper is sweet! How long was the wait for it? I hear they are on back order.

 

I used ScreenProtech in my Tacoma. It comes with the nav screen and instrument cluster screen protectors. It’s basically 8mil PPF for your screens. Stops swirls too!. Includes everything you need for install including squeegee, water bottle, instructions, etc.

I got mine in about 4 weeks, really was surprised, shipping took the longest. I might of gotten lucky.

 

Dead serious question but kind of laughable. Does any one have suggestions on high quality, durable key rings? Like if I wanted the Lexus of key rings in a couple of different sizes? For example straight up surgical grade stainless steel or something like that.

I’m not taking about attachments to the ring, like a leather piece or carabiner either, just the actual ring.
