I was hoping mine would be a direct swap ( 2006 sequoia to 01 tundra swap EVERYTHING)but trans is different the motor will plug right in but the transmission and transfer case is different! help I can't figure it out!!! SO MANY WIRES!!!!! I have everything from 06 sequoia in there just have trouble with the wiring!

I believe only 00-04 are the same with 05-06 being much different with the VVTI engine and 5 speed over the original 4 speed transmission.

Your 1st mistake was probably putting the '06 with VVTi 2UZ engine into your '01 non-VVTi 2UZ truck ('01 is V8, right?). I'm fairly certain the '05+ Seq/Tun all had VVTi drivetrains.

The general rule of thumb is, if you're moving to a new drivetrain and engine type, you always use the donor vehicle's engine harness and ECU so you don't get stuck in the screwed position you're in now, digging through schematics and re-pinning stuff, and ultimately chasing gremlins galore, which you will be doing most likely.

Disk brake conversion... nice! Got any pics of the axle installed?

Sorry, I got no info on the wiring except that it's going to be some work since the engine, transmission, and transfer case are not plug-n-play compatible with your truck.

to make the 5 speed work you'd need to get creative with a 4runner 4.7 non vvti ECU. the 5 speed will not work with an 01 ecm. and you cant run an 01 engine on an 05-06 ecm
