I decided to keep the Kanatis after finding out they make 39x12.50r17s. I ordered a set of 40" Mickey Thompsons a while back and plan put those on the new wheels I won. I'll put the Kanati tires on my current set of wheels and use them for daily driving. When will I get the Kanatis? I have no clue. Just hoping I get them before my current tires go bald, which they are getting close:fingerscrossed: Doing the Rubicon Trail next week, I'm pretty sure I'll be slipping and sliding everywhere.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to ship than to pick up given how much gas costs?

Oh. About that. Soooo… Funny story. As I was in the garage getting out the shocks, some dude in a Tundra drove by and saw my truck. We got to talking and to make a long story short… he offered me $10 more than you did so I sold them.

Cruz, have you toyed around with a Bluetooth GPS receiver for the navigation? I've ran into the same problem with GPS not getting a good reading as well, and sometimes I have to restart my device for it to get an accurate reading again. I've had this in my cart forever and met a guy at T2S in 2021 who has one, apparently they work pretty well. Just connect your phone or tablet to it.

that's what I have been using for the past 3 years.
the XGPS 160. Used to be $110. ugh.

ipad with GAIA and bluetooth to GPS. works great. much better than phone imo.
You can have up to 5 devices paired to that GPS

For the most part using Gaia on my iPhone has worked well except in Sand Hollow and the Rubicon.

Hey, Cruz, did you ever get your shovel back… that we used for coals at T2S in October? I’m asking because I want to know if you can tell me which it is? So I don’t get some lesser version.

Hmmmm is that we’re my shovel went? I don’t remember. I bought a replacement. I’m sure there are better ones out there.

So… I’m not a fan of red for Hulk. I prefer black or green, but sometimes get orange, because my other truck is orange. BUT the one you linked has better descriptive wording than many others !, but check this out:54F7EA60-359A-408A-AC89-6E91D4FDFF74.jpg
    31FABD0B-1DB9-40D7-A661-8B42E85AEE49.jpg

I see two shovels… different colours, different brands, different written descriptions… but the same under(over?)dressed model posing with both versions-? I mean, if they’re equivalent, I’d get the black… but, are they?!

Yeah, me too! But they described the red one as a much better “tool”. Doesn’t matter. I like that one you had in Sedona. But since we don’t know for sure which that was (Kyle :boink:), I think I’ll get the black, then compare when we meet.

I do like the stopping power of the EBC Orange pads but they wore out really quick - less than a year and not that many miles either. Thinking of going with the EBC Yellow next. As for the rotors, I guess they’re good, no complaints here.

Wanted to go down to SoCal this weekend but couldn't justify the cost for gas so I stayed local and did the Slick Rock trail up in the Sierras. Short trail, only 3.5 miles long. Went in from the southern trailhead, which is the more difficult route. Finished in 3 hours but that’s with traffic on the trail. The last obstacle, the Gauntlet, looked intimidating but both lockers made quick work of it. At the top there is a sharp driver hairpin turn with rocks and trees in your way. All of the smaller vehicles did the Austin Powers to make the turn. I just placed my driver side sliders on the large boulder that was on the inside of the turn and did a 180 degree pivot - got through that hairpin faster than the Jeeps, Taco, and FJ that were in front me :p. The Gauntlet does have very hard lines but are not suitable to fit a Tundra through but other than that I would rate this trail as a challenging medium.

So I took my new Dual SkyPro GPS Receiver out for its maiden voyage and it worked great! I had my current (12) and old (X) iPhones connected to it. I used my old iPhone with Gaia and I was positioned on the trail the whole time, which in almost any other trail I've tried using it on was all over the place and was slow. The rubber dash mount managed to stay right on the center of my dash sitting above the center speaker - I was worried that it would get thrown around.

So now I could use my current iPhone for taking videos or flying the drone :drevil:
