That and the bump start ignition. It often takes me twice to start my other car because I don’t hold the key in the start position long enough.

I did not know our trucks had this feature... I owned a GM that had it and I got very used to only tapping the starter. Now I want to go out to the garage and try it.

I didn’t know it had one in there until recently and after I had already purchased this. So i guess mine is worn out. This does a great job though so just gonna stick with it

Took a turn at using Plastidip on my rims...I also had to tear apart my tailgate latch as it broke while it was closed, and the hard tonoue cover was latched...

Been thinking about making some tamper resistant "shields" for my tonneau unlatching system, but never made the step for fear of latch breakage.

I don't want to destroy my own tonneau cover in the event. If a thief wants into the bed, they're probably just going to break it open anyhow.

Prolly. The latches on this one are only plastic. That's why I took the tailgate handle assemblby out to get at the rods that open the tailgate and spare the cover.

Drained and filled transfer/ rear diff= boring!
Rear diff breather extend -kinda cool if I can find a river to cross in dry CO..
Lastly.. don’t do this.. if you have taken your doors apart a bunch like I have. I was fiddling around with the small kids lock tabs and for the life of me they would not unlock. Background, I had a speaker in rear pax door that would give me some static on bumps. Figured it was a wire issue. Yep. Fixed it. Put door back together but I couldn’t get to lock right. Out of time, I’ll get that later. Door unlock got wonky, red truck on dash etc. got back into door and one of the two cables that are in panel was seated wrong. Fixed.
Back to kids lock - don’t mess with it. I had to take the three hex bolts out, remove the whole thing, watch a YouTube fix it video and jimmy the lock tab back into unlock place, put back together.
Stroke of genius? Try the other door and have it do the same thing! Doh! Don’t know what it is that is locking it up but don’t mess with it! (Yes it worked in past, tried rapid lock/unlock etc)

I finished trimming my bedsides to line up with my high clearance bumper. I have some color-matched spray paint ordered.

Not technically TO the Tundra; but I drew up some adjustable lift shackles in preparation for leveling my truck out with the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo.

Replaced the leaking exhaust seal between the muffler and tailpipe.
This is the old one after it came out, and sat for a bit...it looks to be a coil of steel.

This is what i did to mine today. Damn yard sweeper canopy caught just enough wind to blow out and swing back into my tailgate, leaving two dents and f’n up the paint. Idk how much this costs to repair. I wouldn’t worry about a dent if it didn’t look absolutely stupid with two on either side…

Find a paintless dent repair shop and see what it will cost to remove the dents. Then, you can pick up some touchup paint and fix the paint damage yourself.

You can get to where those dents are by removing the back panel of the tailgate- you might want to do that and see if you can hammer or pop them back out yourself

    absolutely none
Started the dechrome process. Swapped rear bumper, sidesteps to black. Front went with a $60 rockauto grill and painted it and cleared. Fogs are laminex. Just gotta swap out the door handles and mirror caps and the transformation will be complete.

Added a 5gal freshwater hosedown setup. Just a cheap little 12V pressure activated pump from Amazon ($30), a milk crate and 5gallon gug, and a little bit of wiring. Gets plenty of pressure to wash truck, or dirty feet/paws after the beach. Takes up minimal space in the bed and only adds 40lbs when full.
