Yes, fox calls 80 ft/lbs. Double checked that

The through bolt is tq'd to 173. Did this today to regrease the bushings.

Everything else is to spec. Going to run to the alignment shop to have them check everything over

What'd your torque the nut that holds the UCA spindle bolt?

I have got away with doing this on a few sets of coilover, but I know it isn't the best method. Compressing the coil prevents the chance of damaging the threads. Some guys get lucky but I've seen stripped coilovers and wouldn't want to have that.

Dont remember off the top of my head but it was listed in JBAs install instructions, I went with that. If I remember correctly it was lower than the factory bolt. I can double check that today

I have been using the spring compressor while the coilover is still in the vehicle. Eliminates a few steps. I still can't see how you would be able to adjust them without compressing the spring.
Hopefully I can get them quiet and I'll be all set

Did you have to unclip / shift / remove anything under the hood to remove that massive uca bolt?
Coincidentally, I have those same arms waiting to be installed. I could not find the suggested grease locally and ordered it from JBA directly. Almost did the Lucas red n tacky, but directions specifically say not too.

There are a couple if sift lines that are in the way on the passenger side that you can take out if the clip and move. Drivers side was easy. Nothing had to be removed on either side to get them out. It's tight but it fits.
Lube them up good. I had to go back and regreade mine since I used the wrong stuff. Pain in the ass.
Have a tq wrench ready, they need to go to 173 ft/lb.
Really not a bad job. I actually did it at night just using my rock lights too see

Also not sure if your uppers came with specific washers but mine did and they're thick. If you lose one like I did, best to order more (2 cost me $20+ shipped!) because the upper will definitely shift when articulated and make noise.

Had a noise that sounded similar to what you are hearing with a new Fox coilover, super annoying. Found what it was when upgraded suspension, there are 2 rubberish washers in the top mount where the shock attaches to the top hat and they came apart. Still in place, just broken allowing the shock and hat to contact metal to metal and make noise. Maybe give them a look if nothing else works out.

So i got it back from the alignment shop and everything was the same. Same noise and nothing new. So I pulled it in the garage and went over every bolt, again. They were all to either factory spec or spec provided by the manufacture of the part.
So I decided to tq every bolt to factory spec. Some vary by alot. After doing this my popping is 95% gone. I only hear it now because I'm listening for it. I'm driving about 600 miles tomorrow so I'll recheck everything when I get back. At least now it doesn't sound like a shitbox going down the road

Who did you take it to for the alignment?
Most people half azz them, even more so In New Orleans.

Nudging for an update on your ride quality, noises, and/or general feedback.

I installed my JBA UCA's on Saturday and was no where near as bad as I was anticipating. Asked a neighbor to help push the bolt toward the arm (from the engine bay) while doing the passenger side as I could not reach the arm and bolt at the same time. Took about an hour per side taking my time, but the passenger side was more tedious due to the hoses and wires getting in the way. Getting an alignment tomorrow and have not driven more than 10 miles as my camber is SUPER NEGATIVE and my toe in is NOT GOOD. Hopefully the shop will hit the mark provided in the JBA instructions.

Fox 2.0 rears (adventure tuned from accutune) should arrive today and I hope to install in the next couple of days. I'm looking forward to doing one piece at a time to really feel the result of each component (variable). I'm looking forward to getting mine, but the fronts (2.5 adventure tuned) are still likely a month out.

Anyway, sorry to muck up your thread. I hope yours are treating you well and your road trip was a success!

Got the right grease in for the arms so my squeak is mostly gone. I will most likely do one more "flush out" of grease soo in hopes that will 100% eliminate it.
All other noises/pops have gone away since I tq'd everything to factory spec. Lime I said earlier, all we set to either factory or specs provided by manufacturer. Since I did them all at once I'm not sure which component was the culprit but it's taken care of and that's what matters.
I still need to get my rears custom valved (only the fronts have been done so far) but the ride is great. I know shocks work together so I cant say 100% yet but so far so good

Never heard of such soft coils on a Tundra, and I didn't know the Fox shocks could fit a 18" coil. No reason why it wouldn't work though. I thought the Ironman FC Pro coils were long and soft at ~19" and 583lb.

You are looking for a soft ride, and it's what Accutune recommended?

BTW, if someone wants some cheap spring compressors that worked fine for me, $31 will get you these: https://www.amazon.com/WINMAX-TOOLS-AUTOMOTIVE-Compressor-Capacity/dp/B0158BOJUW

that’s what they suggested for me as well. It works in conjunction with their shock tuning. They made sure I had no extra weight up front (bumper, winch, etc) and thought my aluminum skids were fine for this setup. I called in twice and spoke to two different guys and both suggested the same thing.

Correct, this is what was recommended for the best ride. So far so good and I have plenty of adjustment on the collar still.
I tried a spring compressor like that and couldn't fit them between the coils. The other style is thinner and fits between.

So I ordered 0-3" FOX 2.5 shocks from Accutune for my 2019 Tundra. I was concerned about having to mount them and then measure and adjust and re-mount them, really didn't want to do this, but was willing to if it meant getting it right. I mounted them right out of the box adding one coach builder shim to drivers side to compensate for lean. Really didn't know how this would affect anything but decided to try it. I also added CB +3 shackle for the rear. After getting everything installed and driving around the block my truck sits at 41" ground to fender on both driver and passenger sides and the rear is at 41-3/4" on both driver and passenger. Evidently the driver side shim I installed is doing its job and also allowed me not to have to make any adjustments. I neglected to take a measurement before I started so not sure exactly how much of a lift I actually have but I very happy with the results!!

This is it after alignment. I had Bilstein 6112 for 2" lift previously and the fox 2.5" definitely make it a bigger climb to get into. Absolutely love the stance now.

    Looks great!
I’m making the same move. My shocks are finally tuned and I’m just waiting for them to be shipped! Currently have 6112 at 1.9 with 1 shim in each side. I did ask about using the shims and they suggested compensating for lean (if I cared to) by adjusting the collars and not using the shims fwiw.
The spring compressors listed above do allow you to adjust on the vehicle I believe so the install uninstall reinstall procedure isn’t always necessary.
How do you like the ride so far compared to your 6112?

I debated on adjusting for drivers side lean but the shim made more sense to me because I liked the idea of the shocks being compressed equally on both sides. The ride is much more controlled vs the 6112 I had. It isn't nearly as jarring. I'm sure it will need a break-in period but I'm very impressed so far. Its a bit softer with the 500lbs springs and just way more controlled and predictable, only way I can describe it.

I have heard of some being able to compress the spring in place but not sure. Regardless, I really didn't want to have to do that. I am curious how much lift I actually have. Would like a ground to bottom of fender well measurement on a stock Tundra just for curiosity.

I think if you jack up the truck and partially compress the spring, you should be able to turn the adjuster. Or are you saying you can't access the collar?
