Just picked up our Casita 17' Liberty down in Rice Tx on the 2nd of February. This is our second one - sold the first when we needed a larger one as the kids got bigger. Now it's just my wife, me, and the two dogs, so I wouldn't buy any other trailer. If you take care of these, they'll last well over 20 years and look as good as when they were new. I've seen 15 year old Casita's selling for more than their purchase price. Easy to pull - all the modern conveniences you'd expect, just in a smaller package that doesn't give you any "pants wetting" experiences when towing. Tracks like a little puppy dog behind you, even in full brake lock-up. If you live in New England and want to see one, PM me and we'll gladly show you ours...

    Ron

Stickers it is. I just found mine. Our Gulfstream is different than the one in the video as his was welded to the bottom of the main frame. Mine is on the same level an intercepts the frame on the inside vertical surface instead of the lower horizontal surface. No reason I can see that makes one design better or worse than the other.

Smelled an acrid smell in Ollie one day with 110V hot water heater on when the hot water heater stopped working, too.

Found fried wiring in the junction box for the 6 gallon Suburban hot water heater. Tested heating element and tested OK. Ended up cutting out damaged wiring, visual inspection of hot water heater wiring. The circuit breaker never tripped. Did the "smoke" test next, it's been working great since. Believe the original wiring connections were loose eventually causing failed wiring. Probably should replace the circuit breaker, too.

    I have had both a 26' Nash & 22' Arctic Fox.

I thank Northwood trailers makes some of the best travel trailers. I have been through the factory 3 times and seen them made, but 24ft Nash trailer goes for about $30,000. I bought my 2015 24' Jayco for $19,500. Not the greatest trailer. But it works.

The 24' Nash/Artic Fox has a 20% heavier frame then my 24' Jayco, but even though my Jayco frame is lighter, the way it is made is important, check out this web site on how Jayco frames are made.

I love the Bigfoots. My favorite floor plan is the Bigfoot 21RB. The Bigfoot 25's are heavy trailers and can have a very heavy tongue weight, particularly if they have the front storage box. Most that I know that have them are using 3/4 tons.........

I suggest that you check out the forum on Fiberglassrv.com. Lots of good information about Bigfoot and other fiberglass campers.

I've been known to mention I wouldn't buy an Airstream due to the lack of a slide. Well I saw one with a slide. Now the real reason comes out. I can't afford one.:ohsnap:
