Hey everyone I have a 2015 crerwmax SR5/ TRD off Road.

I bought this used with 60,000 miles. Have not had any problems with the truck since i purchased it.

The truck did- up until a few days ago- have an aftermarket brake controller that looked something like this

    upload_2022-3-27_18-6-38.jpg

I don't really tow much and tore a pair of pants of the mounting bracket and decided to uninstall/unplug it. (this was thursday or friday)

Everything was good for a few days.

Saturday I went to run an errand, got back in my truck, and got several warning lights all at once.

(The ones in circled in blue were the first lights to come on)

I made it home and turned the truck off.

I went to crank the truck again because I'd left the window down.

When I started it again, the power windows didnt work and the truck was stuck in park.

Additionally I've come to realize that the power steering is out, the radio wont come on,
and ive also got the check engine light on and all the others highlighted in yellow.

My question is could all this be the result of unplugging this brake controller?

All help is very much appreciated.

    -Daniel

Jeez I don't know how unplugging that would cause all those issues. But I would start by disconnecting the battery for a bit

    That makes two of us.

I’ve checked every fuse- interior and exterior. All were good.

disconnected battery tonight and thoroughly cleaned terminals. When I hooked it back up and tried to crank, it gave me the clicking dead battery sound.

Sounds suspicious for a bad serpentine belt if your battery wasn’t charged and your power steering isn’t working. Alternative is unplugging that controller has something in a closed loop battery drain condition. Your battery voltage got too low and is causing your electrical issues. Check battery voltage, Plug the controller back in and see if it goes away?
