So, not to look for even more reasons to worry, but it appears that gas prices north of $6 in some places is pushing gasoline theft to new heights. Just curious if anyone has put on a locking cap or if that would even be necessary (i.e. is the Tundra filler pipe even "siphon-able"?). Won't help if they slip underneath and slice the rubber section of the pipe, but you can't prepare for everything..... (sigh)...

Also curious...Amazon has nothing but poor reviews on locking caps for the Tundra...

You can’t siphon from the filler tube. There is a metal screen in the neck. Locking gas cap is worthless and usually causes more problems than it’s worth.

And if they want your gas bad enough they’ll drill a hole in the tank from below and get what they want and let the rest run on the ground. Your left with a possible fire hazard and tank replacement.

That's true, or slice the rubber part of the neck and get at it that way. Call me crazy, but drilling into a gas tank seems ill-advised, but then again we aren't talking about society's best and brightest....

    Thanks - that's what I thought but I wasn't sure...

    Alot of them
With the tanks being plastic these days, it's minimal risk I'm guessing.

Amazon says that won't fit my 2021 Tundra. Is that an error, or did they change the fuel cap since your 2019? We don't ever freeze down here, so I'm all for it.

I don't think it ever said that it fit, I just took recommendations from this forum and it worked no problems.

I ran them on our cars until I got to a station one day and couldn't get it off. I did get home and finally managed to remove it, but to be hundreds of miles away from home and needing gas, that could have been bad.

Got spoiled years ago with our BMW's and Subaru's with a locking gas filler door.

I'm more worried about the random kid syphoning gas than I am the serious thief. When prices spiked I did some research for my Truck and Car, and there is an anti syphon screen. The Mustang is one of those Capless systems, and drives me freaking nuts.
