Let's hear them, and see them, and wonder why. A few easy ones below

Ford Fiesta- nobody throws a party in that

Chevy Celebrity- who are you trying to fool there?
    celebrity-41.jpg

Ford Probe- I'd argue the style was ahead but performance didn't back it. This is the last thing you want riding your ass

And when they show they have the creativity of a potato and bastardize a name they used already. Ford maverick, (80’s) dodge daytona…

    Spanish, Nova means “no go.”
Contrary to popular belief, though, the Chevy Nova sold well in Latin America.
In Venezuela, the Nova actually exceeded sales projections from Chevrolet.

Thirty something years ago Cagiva introduced a new dual-sport motorcycle to the American market named the Elefant.
It came in a white livery but the connotation of "white elephant" didn't seem to deter sales one bit.

My friend had one in high school. I had to push him to get it started every time I saw him.

Should have called it "yugo, or maybe you don't go"

My company had a tan one up until 3 years ago. I drove it to a supplier one time and they were amazed we had such a beat company car.

What should we call it? It don’t know, let’s just call it the thing.

Most Hyundai names bug me - the cities of Tucson and Sante Fe are fine but don’t need cars named after them.

On the other hand - my very first car may have the best name -

My first car was a 1995 Ford Probe GT in 1996. Other than the shit transmission that I replaced two or maybe three times under warranty, it was a great car.

actually considering buying one next year for the wife for taking the kids to school and getting groceries. The 7500 dollar tax credit helps but i need to make sure i alter my withholdings so that I owe for that credit to take effect.

which I do lol. I would probably use it for work sometimes if its raining. I work 2.5 miles from home and use an electric bike. Even when weather is bad i make myself take the bike, i love my truck too much to do a cold start for a 5 minute drive, then the same thing for coming back home.

That's just the nickname though. Real dubheads know it as the Type 181. Looks sharp in that color.

There are some classic VWs where they lost creativity in the naming, the Type 3 series.
